DV 2025 AOS (Adjustment of Status) Process Only

Hello everyone. I would like to know those who sent documents in October after submitting fingerprint, did you receive any response from Uscis.
I recall recommending you add your case progress to the 2025 Timeline spreadsheet back in Nov to enable you compare your case progress with other DV based AOSers. Doing so will enable you all to benefit from one another, just so you know.

Hi everyone, any idea when can I expect to receive an ead through AOS, I received the NOA Last week. Does receiving NOA allow me to stay even if I am out of status?

1. Average processing time for an EAD could be anywhere between 2 to 3 months from when your AOS package was received.
2. Yes, you’re allowed to remain in the US while your AOS application is pending.

p.s. add your case progress to the 2025 Timeline spreadsheet.

I did it this way without any issues. I‘d recommend to use Acrobat, other pdf programs messed up the fillable fields for me.
One observation - when I enabled edit mode in Adobe for form I-485 it removed a bar code from the bottom of a page. Could this cause any issues with the application?

You can submit the other financial documents already listed on the AOS process spreadsheet.
Thank you, Sm1smom. Gotcha, so neither W-2 nor 1099 is not compulsory, as long as you provide other financial documents, proving your sustainability.

Another one quick question, since it is not really clear for me from the spreadsheet. My spouse is the main applicant (though eligible through me), can I also submit financial documents, letter from the employer etc? Would the officer take that into consideration? Also my diplomas etc?
Coz spreadsheet doesn't mention anything about that for the spouse of the main applicant.

Thank you in advance!

A couple’s combined financial support documents can be submitted regardless of if the main selectee is cross charging to the spouse’s birth country or not.

No feedback yet.
In reference to above concern,
@Sm1smom, I didn't include application for EAD whilst submitting I-485 in October. Is it in order to submit independently now owing to delay response on the interview appointment?

While I have no idea how much longer it may take for your AOS application to be adjudicated, you may go ahead and apply for the EAD card now if you think you need it.

Do bear in mind there’s a fee required for EAD application, average processing time could be anywhere between 60 to 90 days (or more), and using an approved AOS based EAD to undertake authorized employment automatically nullifies your current status.

Well-guided, thank you!

Hi Mom. Our EAD will end on July, thats why i didn't submit it with I-485. When will i need to submit it?
I’m sorry I’m not available to answer follow up questions from anyone who ignores my request to them. This forum thrives when everyone contributes their quota, and not simply keep to asking questions solely about their case.

hello AOS family

I am planing to go with completed form I-824

1, and I was wondering if I should fill out part three on page two. it specifically said ''Provide the following information about the principal
beneficiary of the previous application or petition, if other than you '' . picture attached

2, if the above is correct then all from ( 1 A to 3 i ) which is including mailing address would be N/A , correct ?

Why i824?

We (my husband, main applicant) just have update status for RFE request yesterday but still waiting to clarify the request via mail.
Brooklyn, NY
Dear all,

Just for update.
Today i received letter from field office request additional evidence including interview appointment on Feb, 03.

As expected from words of mom, they request i-134 since our bank statements are less than 6th month period. However, we don't have close friend or family in US to support i-134 by that time of submission that's why we just filed with our cash amount in bank.
But they don't request RFE to be send by date in the letter and it states that "You must bring the requested information to your scheduled interview appointment. See appointment notice attached".

Do we just have to bring our i134 on the day of interview since i don't find any dates for submission?

Many thanks in advance.

The instructions for completing that question is not quite intuitive, I must say. The instruction says:

"If you select Part 2., Item Number 1.c., provide the requested information in Part 3., Item Numbers 5.a. - 34., for each family member for whom you are requesting follow-to-join benefits". It is however silent on if Part 3 Q1a - 1d should be N/A in this case on or not.

Personally, I would complete Part 3 Q. 1a - 1d with my own information accordingly. (For 1d. I'll write N/A since you do not know you approval date as the time of filling out the form, unless of course the IO approves you on the spot and they indicate you can use your interview date).
