DV 2024 AOS (Adjustment of Status) Process Only

I noticed your update on the Timeline Spreadsheet with the interview being waived. Congratulations.
Thank you mom and others who answered my questions during the daunting wait period.

FYI: I submitted a congressional inquiry and this was my experience: The congressperson's staff called me back the same day after I submitted the online request form. They asked me to sign the USCIS privacy release form and email it back to them. I explained that my case had been pending for nearly six months without any updates. Although they mentioned that I might not qualify for an expedite request based on USCIS's criteria, they said they would help me so I gave them my DV selection letter, DV fee receipt, and my I485 receipts as supporting documents. I explained that DV cases are given priority due to numerical limitations and must be adjudicated within the relevant fiscal year. I also stressed the risk of visa exhaustion or timing out. To my surprise, my case was approved two days later. However, I cannot definitively confirm whether the inquiry directly led to the adjudication by USCIS. Best of luck to everyone!

I want to try my best to express my concern. My case number of 2024AF23xx is current. However, I have not received any 2NL emails from KCC yet. What should I proceed with, even though I know the next thing to do is to get Form I-485 completed, etc.? I indicated that I had traveled on a J-1 visa before and have 1 year, 4 months left to fulfill my 2-year residency obligation. How do I proceed to get a waiver since I am currently in the US on an F1 visa for my graduate school? Anyone in a similar situation who has navigated it by getting a waiver and finally getting approved? I will need assistance.

Were you a Fulbright scholar?

Hi all,

My case status was updated today saying "the case is ready to be scheduled for an interview". I have not even done biometrics at this point. What is that supposed to mean? Are they waiting for my biometrics to approve the case with interview waiver? Or does that mean they won't give a waiver and I need to wait for the interview to be scheduled depending on the field office's case load?

1. There’s no big deal with not receiving the 2NL. Have you actually gone through the AOS process spreadsheet? It has the step by step guide for what to do and when to do them.
2. How do you proceed with getting the 2YHRR waiver? Did you ever bother to go through the link I provided you with in this post back in August 2023? You don’t seem to realize that waiver needs to be included in your AOS package and it takes a while to get, and you ought to have filed for it long before now.

It means your FO does not waive DV based AOS interviews, not all FOs waive the interview.

No, KCC will not by default send payment receipt via the email address listed on your eDV registration.
I honestly have no idea why they emailed it to me. I never
Acceptance text/email is the only text or email received from USCIS after the AOS package gets delivered to the Lockbox.
i never got an acceptance text of email even though I included G-1145 I just tracked my package via usps tracking

It’s been a bit more than a week since I can see that it’s in their P.O box

Did you include a SASE with your payment? If yes, did the paper copy also show up in your mailbox?

Add your case updates to the Timeline spreadsheet in order for us to have a better insight into your process and provide applicable feedback to your case.

No, I honestly thought at the time that SASE is my actual envelope xD.

Okay, I will add it. I don’t have any updates from the kcc though. Are they supposed to email you after they open the package if G-1145 is there?

I saw that for some people it takes a week to get a response after the package was filed and for some it was 2-3 weeks.

Okay, so that IS why your receipt was emailed to you. Like I posted earlier, KCC does not, as a default, automatically email the receipt.

You’re not dealing with the KCC once you send in your AOS package, you’re dealing with USCSI at that point. Yes, USCIS sends text or email (depending on the selected method) if form G-1145 is included with the package, with the exception of one Lockbox which they weren’t sending out the text/email confirmation for in the past two years.

Can you please tell which lockbox has not in the past / does not send text/email confirmation?

Okay, I will be waiting for the response then.

Hoping it will come this or next week.

Hello everyone, my question is for everyone with a CN closer to mine (EU21XXX). I think it has a high chance of becoming current in April or May. Would now be a good time to pay the administrative fee of $330?

Hey everyone guys!
I sent the package to USCIS Lockbox Chicago (02/03/2024 by USPS - Priority Mail!!!).
My parcel has already been on its way there for the 6th day... (today is 02/08/2024)
Now it has been stuck in the "CHICAGO IL DISTRIBUTION CENTER" for the 4th day. (every day it is updated at 8 pm "Moving Through Network"). Between this center and Lockbox ~3 miles.
Of course, I'm worried. It’s not funny anymore for me!
Bad thoughts are already creeping into my head :'\

Advice - you need to be patient - ok, no problem, I basically have no other choice. But maybe someone can tell me the USPS delivery time based on their cases.
How quickly did your packages pass through this "Chicago Distribution Center"? Has anyone experienced the same problems?

I think it’s literally written there that it’s arriving late.

My package was delivered fast but I haven’t gotten a response or message from them opening my form when some people get it in a matter of a week

I think it’s individual/random. Your package definitely isn’t lost if you were updated on it yesterday.

Thank you for your support and your messages.

P.s.
"""Your package definitely isn’t lost if you were updated on it yesterday."""
This system automatically updates every day at 8 pm this message "In Transit to Next Facility, Arriving Late". (the same thing was displayed on February 5 and February 6)
So... the last time my package was scanned February 4, 2024, 2:58 am "Arrived at USPS Regional Facility. CHICAGO IL DISTRIBUTION CENTER".
That's why I'm worried. Mail usually passes through distribution centers in a couple of hours (max 1 day). But my package stuck in this distribution center!
My feeling now: they forgot my parcel somewhere in the warehouse. And she is lonely, sad, lying somewhere in a dark corner of this insanely large warehouse, and she's scared, and I'm even more scared. :(
And I live in hope that some employee of this warehouse found her, and said: “What are you doing here, PRIORITY MAIL! You should already be in the USCIS Lockbox. Quickly get into the car - I’ll take you to your destination point!”

Like you see, day by day- I'm losing my mind
