DV 2024 AOS (Adjustment of Status) Process Only

I added my information on the timeline please give me your insight, I appreciate your help
Your application (21.12) was received a day ago compared to mine(22.12). My check was cashed on January 12. I have not even received the NOA letter let alone the bio-notice. I only managed to learn my receipt number last Friday through Emma. The last action was "Fingerprint Fee Was Received". Apparently they mailed the notice on January 10. I sent a non-delivery of notice service request but I am not sure when they will answer. Let's keep in touch as our cases are similar.

Sorry to hear that, I think the different between our case is the lockbox. My case is " Fingerprint fee was received" since 12/26.

Yes Chicago Lockbox really did something with submissions just before holidays. Actually someone else wrote recently in this forum that a friend of his got her check cashed almost 4 week after submission! Anyway though USCIS says they submitted the notice 2 weeks ago, and it is on USPS now. By the way are we supposed to receive any update on case status when the bio-notice is mailed?

Hello Mom, Thank you for your help. I have a question. The last statue change is 28 days ago "the fingerprints fee was received " but I didn't get the biometric appointment. In my understanding the appointment notices arrive usually 2 to 3 weeks from the (NOA). Should I be worried or this is normal? And if there anything I can do to speed the process.
Thank you again for your help
Compared to similar cases (from the same ASC as yours) on the 2023 Timeline spreadsheet, the bio letter was received a couple of days after the NOA which may seem to indicate you should be worried about not receiving the bio notice as of now. BUT the NOA itself was only received about one month after the Lockbox delivery date for one of those listed cases. I'm guessing the bio notice will show up in the next couple of days. Do you have USPS Informed Delivery set up? If you currently do not, I recommend you get this set up.

In the interim, you can chat up Emma on USCIS website to discuss the pending bio notice, they may be able to tell if your bio appointment has been scheduled. If they tell you it has not yet been set up, once it is past 30 days since you received your NOA, go ahead and submit an online inquiry about the bio notice.

Hi,

As indicated on timeline, USCIS received my package on December 22. We are approaching almost 4 weeks and I have not heard anything from USCIS. I know people having completed their bio within a month and I am still waiting my NOA. Apparently the lawyer has not attached form G-1145 and hence I do not know my case number. The only thing I know is that the cash was cashed on January 12, 3 weeks after the submission. USCIS asks to contact them unless the first NOA was not received in 30 days, which would be this Sunday. In this situation is there anything I should/can do apart from waiting? Why does it take so long?

Hi,

No they have not received the receipt either. I should also receive a courtesy notice from USCIS.
They asked me to wait for the next week as the check was cashed a week ago.
However I checked with EMMA and talked with an agent and managed to learn my receipt number. Apparently they said the notice on Jan 10 and the notice would take up to 10 days to arrive!
Hi,

Today I received my bio-notice. They had sent the bio notice last week. It is weird that I am one of the few who received the bio notice before receiving a receipt notice. I think the lockbox forgot to send the receipt notice even though they claim so they did so. Probably I won't receive but I think it won't be a problem at this point.

Sometimes, USPS loses mail as well.

Hi mom

Will the submission of I-131 and I-765 have any impact on the application, such as potentially slowing down the overall processing?
I've noticed that these two forms can be submitted online. Should I submit them electronically or include paper copies with my AOS package? Additionally, if I need to submit these forms, do I also need to include an additional set of four photos of myself?
Finally, my spouse is from China but has been in the United States since the age of 17 and has been living here continuously for almost 10 years. I'm concerned that the current state of U.S.-China relations might unnecessarily complicate her background check, even though she is not affiliated with any political party

BTW, I would like to know, has anyone received a notification for an interview?

Forms I-131 and I-765 are adjudicated by the NBC, while the I-485 is adjudicated by the FO. Paper filing the initial two forms with the I-485 is recommended, unless you already have the NOA for the I-485 which you will need to upload to indicate you're filing those two based on a pending I-485; or you are prepared to make the separate payments for filing those if they are not I-485 based. Each form should be accompanied by it's own set of applicable supporting documents and photographs. Take a look at the Timeline spreadsheet for available updates from those who bothered to provide them.

Greetings! I arrived in the U.S. on an F1 visa at Atlanta airport and recently discovered that there is no entry stamp in my passport. However, I can access my I-94, which contains all the accurate information. Should I be concerned about the absence of an entry stamp in my passport while filing for AOS?

I don’t believe so.

They’ve stopped stamping at entry to Honolulu Airport also. As long as your 1-94 is correct, that’s the document they would look at/request anyway.

Hello Mom, Can you please confirm if i am above 20 years of age, I don't need Hep A and Meningococcal vaccine right (screenshot from your excel sheet)? My CS is asking for the records for Hep A and Meningococcal.

You can do that if you like - as long as you are aware of the first rule of thumb when it comes to immigration process - never provide unsolicited information. Providing unsolicited information has been know to complicate issues/create more problems (when the person doing so thinks they are helping their case by doing so).

Yes, you can hand-print missing information. In black ink.

Quick question.
The signature at the end of I-485. Should it be my name or a usual signature sign like on passport.

Thanks

Your CS should not be asking for records of vaccine that is not deemed age appropriate. Per the CDC guideline, Hepatitis A and Meningococcal vaccines are not age appropriate for applicants over 18. Tell your CS you do not have any record of having taken these vaccines in the past, and if they insist on you taking them, show them vaccine requirements table from CDC - link below:

Hello, so my VB is current for February 2024 and I made the dv fee payment of $330.00 in December 15th hoping I will receive the receipt in January in order to adjust my status in February. It has been 1month 2weeks and I still haven’t received the receipt from DOS yet. I tried calling KCC yet the number never go through. Can I contact department of state MO? Any ideas on what to do next and also any ways to find out if the cashiers check I submitted was received.

Thank you,

Another question, can I send in I-134 later if asked. It takes some time to do, so can I just send the package now and then send this form in separately later on?

You can send in the I-134 later only if you receive a RFE to do so (you cannot arbitrarily send it in without such a request). You can also present it at your interview (if it gets scheduled and if the IO requests an I-134 at that point).

1. Did you include a SASE with the payment?
2. Which address did you send the payment to?

KCC no longer take or respond to phone calls, they can only be contacted via email. You can contact your bank, as a first step, to find out if the cashier’s check has been cashed.

I forgot to add, I have an attorney so he did submit SASE and also I submitted the payment to the Department of state at Missouri. I don’t know the DOS at Missouri can be contacted. I recently received my adjustment letter from KCC telling me to go ahead and pay the $330(which I paid in December 2023). Im also curios to know if others received their receipts through email instead of mail.
