DV 2024 AOS (Adjustment of Status) Process Only

Hello, should my wife and I pay our dv administration fee with two separate money order or we can pay both of them in one single money order? If we can do both of our payments with a single moneyorder then in the form should I enter my wife's name? Or just I need to write my name as the DV lottery selected? Can I use WesternUnion money order or just I need to use USP money order? And finally where on the money order I need to write my case number?

1. Single money order is fine for both of you.
2. No, only your name.
3. Use whichever you prefer.
4. You can write if on the Memo line or at the back.

Thank you for your quick response. I've another question about $1440 fee, should it be in to separate moneyorder? one for biometric fee and another for uscis?

If making the I-485 payment by money order, you’ll need to breakup the payment per person to start with. Then further break down as the maximum amount the post office (for instance) can issue per money order is a $1,000, making it 2 MO per person.

So don't we need to pay for biometric and uscis with separate moneyorders? We should provide two moneyorders for each of us, one of them is $1000 and the other one is $440. Is this true?
 
@Sm1smom Hi mom, hope you are well. I just received an RFE that says:

"Submit evidence to establish that you maintained your nonimmigrant status in the US since your last lawful admission into the US. The evidence may include the following:
-A photocopy of approval notice form I-797 for all extensions and changes of status
-A photocopy of I-20, F-1 OR M-1
-A photocopy of I94."

Just to remind you, I came to US with B2 tourist visa, and filed for Asylum after 3 months of my arrival (before my visa expired.). And not yet gotten an interview for asylum for 3 years so still pending. In the meantime I am a senior engineering university student. And currently am married to a citizen for about a year.

Wanted to get your opinion on what to send for this RFE, I was going to add my I-94, B2 visa and notice of actions I got from asylum application. And write a letter that explains my situation,
1-Do you have any suggestions to me such as maybe finding and adding a previous case that has been approved with asylum pending or a court order that accepted asylum pending etc..
2- Should I mention my marriage in my letter
3- Any other suggestions
Really appreciate it, Guessing that I will be getting a denial after this, but hopefully I have one last chance to try proving.

Curious, do you also have a petition pending under marriage to citizen? your status won’t matter for that.

Unfortunately outside of the specific items they’ve requested for, I do not believe any of the makeup items you’re considering will be acceptable to your IO. So based on the RFE, I’m fairly certain a denial notice will soon follow up.

Hello! advise what to do. we submitted Form I 485 in December 2023. Now we wait for an interview (or refusal of it). We (my wife and I) have a work permit, form 765, until August 2024. When should we file Form 765 again?

Did you initiate the congressional case assistance inquiry recommend to you back on Apr. 5th?
 
Hi Mom, i tried to initiate the congressional case assistance inquiry but their office refused my request even after multiple follow-up with them.
should I go for senator inquiry or you recommend another way?

When did you initiate it and what is the status of it? If you ask for help and we provide it, giving an update on what was recommended is the only way we can further help you. It is not enough to keep asking for help with no update on what was done to date.

They said that your case is under normal processing and they won't initiate any inquiry for me. I explained to them that this is a DV lottery case and it is time sensitive. They repeated the same answer, even after I told them that we only have a limited number of visas and we are approaching the end of the fiscal year. I even asked them when would be a good time to follow up with another inquiry, and again they repeated that they can't do anything for me. It is actually frustrating; I don’t have any other representative, and they won't help me through this process.
It has been more than 72 days since I haven't received an update.
