DV 2023 AOS (Adjustment of Status) Only

Hi... I finally got a response from the LA county congressional inquiry, and this what they said:

Is it bad that it's back at NBC?
Yeah, I have to say this doesn't look good considering most, if not all the other LA FO cases filed after you have either been completed and approved, or have been scheduled for their interview.

Hey guys, I got my biometrics appointment letter for August 10. I have two questions regarding walk-in:
1. Will the interview letter come fast if we walk-in?
2. Do we need to call ASC to take an appointment for a walk-in, or can we directly talk with the officer in ASC?
1&2: Take a look at the FAQ tab of the AOS Process Spreadsheet.

Good night Mom

I just received a notification now in my mail, the letter was sent on 50/19/2023 to fingprint on 06/09/2023, the date has already passed, what should I do?
Where you able to get your bio completed and is there any new update on your case?

HiSm1mom,
If the first name is misspelt by one letter on one's birth certificate , is that grounds for rejecting the whole document
Your comments and responses appreciated

I've signed up for USCIS online and some where in the i-485 form it asks for the applicant's usonline number where can i find that on myuscis webpage?

Did you receive instructions from USCIS to sign up for the referenced account or this is the one you set up on your own? If it is the latter, there’s no USCIS # attached to that account.

Ok , i see It's the latter. So at what stage and under what circumstances does USCIS ask you to sign for the referenced account?

One of those instances would be when you file to petition someone. Following the receipt of the petition, USCIS sends an access code for creating an online account for monitoring the petition.

Hi @Sm1smom,

It's hard to have patients as the end of the fiscal year is approaching. I did a congressional inquiry as well, but it did not help. What else do you suggest at this point for me? Is visiting the USCIS field office advisable? If so, what are the processes for doing so? Thank you!

The FOs no longer allow walk-ins (unscheduled visits - an option which used to be available about 13 -14 years ago but got pulled off the table as applicants abusing and misusing the opportunity). So you can contact the customer service and see if they will be willing to schedule an INFOPASS appointment for you - this is hard to come by, but some have succeeded in getting this in the past.

You can also just pay your FO an unscheduled visit and attempt a walk-in - by explaining, pleading, cajoling, or even crying for the security guards while explaining your situation to see if they will be moved enough to allow you in (a few have had success doing this in the past also). Do keep us posted of the outcome if you attempt the walk-in.

Hello @Sm1smom,
I am also waiting for interview letter. My visa number was current in April. I did congressional inquiry and they said the case was assigned to an officer. A week later, when I contacted emma, they said they could not find any information in the system and asked to write inquiry for case status to vermont service center. I have u-visa application pending in vermont service center. I even wrote an inquiry and send the letter on July 10,2023. Still, I havent got any updates or any response from them. What could be the reason for this delay?

Your DV based AOS application is not with the Vermont service center, you need to make that clear when doing any follow-up to ensure you get some accurate response. Based on what you wrote above, I'm not sure where you sent the letter you wrote to. If you wrote the Vermont service center asking about your AOS application, you've basically wasted your time.

Do you still have a valid status, outside of the pending U-visa application, or that status has now expired?
