DV 2023 AOS (Adjustment of Status) Only

No I haven't mixed up anything. I even don't remember the u visa receipt number. I used the receipt number that was provided after I filed i-485. Whenever I inquire my wife's receipt number, they say her case is at Dallas field office and mine is what is shown above.
Okay, I don’t know why you’re getting the response you’ve been receiving.

More pertinent information is required in order for me to have a better insight into your case and respond to your questions accordingly. Please add your case data to the Timeline spreadsheet.
Thank you for your quick response!
Our case is at the Detroit FO, and we got an update today following a congressional inquiry from the USCIS that says "Our "Lottery" Team here at the Detroit Field Office will be interviewing all Diversity Lottery winners on August 11, 2023. Each winner/family has been sent a notice about their specific interview time."
However, we have not got any interview letter nor a case status update since biometrics. We are afraid that we may have an interview in about 10 days, and may not have an IL. Please suggest.

Thank you

The FOs no longer allow walk-ins (unscheduled visits - an option which used to be available about 13 -14 years ago but got pulled off the table as applicants abusing and misusing the opportunity). So you can contact the customer service and see if they will be willing to schedule an INFOPASS appointment for you - this is hard to come by, but some have succeeded in getting this in the past.

You can also just pay your FO an unscheduled visit and attempt a walk-in - by explaining, pleading, cajoling, or even crying for the security guards while explaining your situation to see if they will be moved enough to allow you in (a few have had success doing this in the past also). Do keep us posted of the outcome if you attempt the walk-in.
Thank you, @Sm1smom. First, I will try to get an infopass appointment; if that doesn't work, I will try to do a walk-in. I will keep updating!

There’s a reason I recommended adding your case data to the Timeline spreadsheet, just so you know. Anyway, based on the limited information you’ve shared, you can go back to your congressman’s office to let them know you haven’t received an IL and request they assist with obtaining a copy of yours as the original may be lost in the mail based on the response the gave about interviews taking place on Aug. 11.

Thank you for all your help! We will get back to the congressman's office regarding our IL. Don't they (USCIS) at least do the case status update online something like "Interview has been scheduled" for DV AOS interviews? I'm trying to add my case data to the timeline. Sent a message to the owner to grant me access.

Hi, I had interview today and the interview officer asked to submit form 134 for my spouse and child. She said that I need to fill the form for them. She also said if I can turn on the document by 2:30 pm today. My spouse is on L1 visa and we provided with his employment letter, salary slips etc. I also showed the policy document on "Totality of circumstances" but she insisted on me filling the form 134. My income only is not sufficient to sponsor my derivatives. Could you please suggest.

They typically do not update case statuses online for DV based AOS applications following bio completion - there’s often no update until after the case has been adjudicated. This is called out on the AOS Process Spreadsheet.

Access granted to the spreadsheet.

Did your IL state to bring along an I-134?

With your spouse’s financial documents, the IO shouldn’t have been asking for an I-134 though. Anyway, since she’s asking for it, you’ll need to turn one in. So if you’re able to find a third party to provide you with one ASAP, that is your best bet.

I guess you can have your spouse fill out the I-134 as a last resort and hope for the best. Do you guys jointly file your income taxes? If yes, another option would be for your to fill out the the I-134 using your joint income (you’ll need to figure out how to accurately reflect this on the form between you two). Be sure to download and include your IRS tax transcripts.

p.s. it can be quite discouraging if folks keep asking questions without responding to requests. I recall encouraging you to add your interview details to the Timeline spreadsheet, seeing as the information was missing, you still haven’t done that.

Hi Mom, Thank you for your response.
No, nothing was mentioned in the IL.
a) I'm living in CT, if my sponsor is in NJ and fill I-134, will it be an issue?
b) If sponsor sign the copy I-134 and send me the scan copy, will it work, or do I need to submit original inked sign copy.
c) She said that I need to fill I-134 for my spouse and Kid. Does this mean I need to have separate I-134 filled for all of us, in total 3.
d) Yes, we have filled joint IRS and had the IRS transcript.
f) Can a person on H1B visa sponsor me? or, do he need to a green card holder?
e) I lost my access to the timeline spreadsheet and lil stressed out , will do that for sure.

Yeah, I think the IO is wrong for requesting the I-134 at the end of your interview.

a) No issue.
b) Scanned copy should be fine.
c) Usually just one copy is all that’s needed. However you can just print out 3 copies of the same I-134 (if she wants a copy in each person’s file).
d) That’s good. Did you include your IRS tax transcripts in your AOS package.
e) It is preferable for the sponsor to be a USC or LPR.

I understand about being stressed, but I believe making a little bit more effort to provide updates or respond as needed can help alleviate the stress that comes with this process. A little bit of give and take goes a long way in keeping this forum running.

a) I didn't included IRS tax transcript as by that time, I didn't had it. I included W2 and have taken the IRS document with me today at the interview. which she didn't checked and insisted on I-134.
b) In I-134 beneficiary would be different, right? meaning in do I need to use separate form as beneficiary.

I never got a text message or email saying that my package got accepted, but today I checked the money order status and it was cashed. I included the e notification form in the package. Why didn’t I receive any text/email?

1) I think if you had included the IRS tax transcript with your package and she had the opportunity to review it ahead of your interview, she wouldn't have requested for the I-134.

2) If someone is providing you with the I-134, you will be the one listed as beneficiary (your spouse and kid, as your derivatives will be cover by the same I-134 listing you as the beneficiary.)

1. Which Lockbox did you send your AOS package to and which mailing method did you use for the package delivery?
2. Are you listed on the Timeline Spreadsheet?

My lockbox was Dallas Lockbox. I also never got any text or email although I included the e-notification form in the package. About 15 days later, I got the i797 mail in my mailbox. Really hope they will send i797 directly to you as well.

1. Maybe they missed out on sending it. Do check you spam box though to confirm it did not get delivered in there.
2. Yes you do, like everyone else. You need to send an access request in order to edit it like the instruction says at the top of the page.
