DV 2023 AOS (Adjustment of Status) Only

Hi Mom, I looked at at this and taking it as ref to fill up, I have listed my academic orginizations (college/schools) but not sure if I need to list my employer as well.
Employer information is not required (same as school information). You’ll notice this was not listed on the sample form.

Since you are the main selectee, hence principal applicant, your case will not be impacted by your wife's.

One thing I forgot to point out in my previous response: make sure you take into consideration how long it takes to get a new visa, since you will need a new visa stamp yourself before you can return to the US. With your AOS application already pending for a while, be aware your IL could show up any time soon. So be sure you will be able to return in a timely manner to attend your interview.
Hello , I’m doing AOS based dv 2022 , but i have some fears to deny my case because i didn’t fill my full middle name like ma passport, my name on passport (A) (B) (C) (D) , I just filled (A): first name
(B) part of middle name (D): Surname
I didn’t fill any duplicate entry, have some faced a same problem before and he got the approval?
Thank you

Sorry to posting this again. I'm still not clear what I need to put in here. The question suggest a long range. Do I need to put my Netflix membership info or, COSTCO membership. Apart from my college/school/employment, I don't have any other affiliation.

This will not be an issue. Just make sure you fully fill out your AOS forms with all your names.

While I honestly feel you’re overthinking this, I think you should just follow you instincts at this point, if you still can’t determine what what kind of membership information they’re interested in after looking at the sample form.

Hello

Well, I think I have trouble...

Story:
Every time when I and my wife submitted entries for DV Lottery, we used new photos (we never been selected)
For DV2023 - we were lucky and got selected, filed DS-260, paid DV Fee for the whole family, got confirmation 2NL, waited for our month to be current, and filed the whole package.

We just went through all files on computers etc., and we found out that my wife during DV23 (Entry in Oct 2021) reused by mistake old photo, which is very very similar to how she looks right now; nothing has changed in her appearance

In the package sent to Lockbox, with I-485 application we included new current photos (taken March 2023)

I know the rules and what the instruction says, and now I'm extremely worried that despite that almost everything is as it should be in our package, we will get disqualified because of this photo.

Have you ever heard about this kind of problem with reused photos in AOS Procees?

Thank you

Hello Guys.
Me and my wife applied for AOS Process with DV Lottery. We came here as a F-1 students after we applied for Asylum. For four years we are waiting for an interview. We have Pending Asylum status. My wife won DV lottery last year and right now we applied for AOS and sent all papers today. Will wait what will happen. Hope God will help us. Thank You SomeoneMom for your explanation and AOS Spreadsheet. We followed all the steps and prepared everything. We will keep you updated!
Thank you again! God Bless You!

Never heard of a DV based AOS application disqualification/denial based on reused photo. She should be fine if she does not look significantly different from the picture.

Thank you! Sm1smon, understand that child is a different story as they are changing super fast and one year can make a difference ( of course, you can still tell that this is the same child )

In package we included all current photos

Thank you

Congratulations on your dv lottery. you should definitely go through the spreadsheet 1st as there's tons of information which helped me abundantly to process my AOS.

Hi @Sm1smom,

I had some questions regarding form I-134. I am going to have a family member fill it out as my sponsor, but she has recently gotten married (about 4 months ago). Her income alone is above the 100% FPL for her household and me.

1. Does she have to include her husband as a dependant on the form (though they have never filed taxes together yet)?
2. If yes, since he is also employed, would she have to include his salary for question 14 of Part 3 (which asks for Income contribution to the beneficiary annually) or should it be left at "0"?
3. And am I required to show the W-2, salary... for both, or can I do it with just hers (which I prefer as it is fewer steps for me)?

1,2,&3 - depends on what’s listed on the IRS tax transcript she’ll be providing you with. Married or single?

I have received and will be using her W-2, pay stubs, and her US passport so none of these indicate that she is married. I hope these documents are enough (looked over the AOS package section of the spreadsheet and it says I can use either a W-2 or 1099 with pay stubs and government ID).

Okay, you’re correct those are the supporting documents listed on the spreadsheet. The I-134 itself however requires marital information, and she most certainly cannot select anything but married, otherwise she will be lying on the form. That subsequently requires she include her spouse as a member of her household. She can omit his income and supporting documents if she likes.

Got it, thank you.

Sm1mom,
1.Do you know if there is a minimum amount USCIS would look for to be in one's bank account that is considered adequate for an AOS application

2.If applicant is not sure if present financial statement will be considered adequate , can one just fill out 1-134 by a sponsor in lieu of providing a personal bank/financial statement?

3, Doing an AOS using 245i there is a $1,000 penalty in addition to the normal $1,400 I-485 fee. Do you know , if one can file the 1-485 AOS with correct fee and pay the penalty fee at a later time(say after interview) or are all fees due at submission of I-485 application?

Hey @Sm1smom just out of curiosity, has there been an instance that a case was approved without it getting to the FO? Also does the welcome letter normally come from NBC?

Hi mom. I am really worries. I sent my AOS application to Chicago lockbox on Feb 18 and it was delivered by Feb 20th. It's already March 7th and I haven't received any acceptance text message and my money order also hasn't been cashed. Whom should i contact?
