DV 2023 AOS (Adjustment of Status) Only

Actually my wife told me the officer made a "No exit" mark/correction on our I-485s that I haven't noticed (I think this has something to do with us not leaving the country since entering it first time, which we've already provided in our forms so I am not sure why it was "corrected") and the employment address correction that I've mentioned is not straightforward (it's not the office I am assigned to but rather a deployment location, so if they try to verify it my employer might tell the official office address instead), so maybe it's worth to contact the officer via Infopass and explain that?
I'm actually confused by what you wrote here re: "officer made a "No exit" mark/correction on our I-485s that I haven't noticed (I think this has something to do with us not leaving the country since entering it first time, which we've already provided in our forms so I am not sure why it was "corrected" So I have a couple of questions for you:

1. Do you mean the IO actually wrote "No Exit" on your I-485 form? I don't understand what you mean by he made a correction as there is no section on the form I'm aware of where exit information is requested to be provided, as you also stated you already provided that information. There is a section with question about last entry (last arrival), but not about "exit"
2. When did you enter the US (date)?
3. Which visa/status did you enter with?
3. How long were you admitted for (number of years)?

Thanks for good news! Do you mean KCC payment a DV Payment we did at the beginning or Payment for I485 AOS ($1225)- Thank you.
Also, my package got delivered on Jul 3rd. Still nothing from Uscis, nor MOney Order Cashed. Can anyone advise on that? Should I contact USCIS after a week or two like @DIESEL1337 mentioned or contact congressman?
Thank you all for help.
@gvbri3ll I'm in the same situation. My package was delivered on July 5 to Chicago Lockbox, I have not yet received any e-notification or NOA and my cashier's check has not yet been cashed but @Sm1smom told me that there is nothing I can't do at this time.

Hi,
Yes i did AOS
My I-765 case showed july 20th "case closed benefit received by other means" and my lawyer called Uscis office but they said system down and they were trying to fix the system then my case showed today again "case was reopened for reconsideration" and we called them again and they said they ,system still down they are trying to fix the system . 2 hours later my case showed again "case closed benefit received by other means" so i think something problem with they system because they supervisor gonna call us because in many cases like me, they said that is the problem. I really dont understand anything and i dont have any approved EAD card. My I-485 online statu still showing "case was updated to show fingerprints were taken "
Hi ,
New update on my case ... my I-765 case changed to "case was reopened" . I totally dont understand anything . Do someone know something wrong with my case? Because my I-485 still same . Anyone else having this problem?

1. Yes, like a correction that she notified us about, but I think I’ve missed it cause I was very sleepy. My wife told me it was there. There is indeed no such section, my wife is not sure where it was, but probably around “Recent immigration history”
2. 03/31/2022
3. L1
4. That makes it 1 year.

On a side (and very important) note our online statuses have changed to “New card is being produced”. Does that mean that our cases have been approved? I can’t believe it has been that fast. Actually just called USCIS hotline and they’ve told me that it does not necessarily mean that my case has been approved and that they can’t see if it’s approved or not and told me to watch out for an approval notice in the mail.

Thanks for the feedback regarding misleading folks by not being “more honest with people about how horrifying this AOS process is”, even though whenever someone comes to this forum wanting to know which option they should go with, we’ve always told them to look at the pros and cons of both AOS vs CP and make their own decision.

Yeah, we were not honest enough and subsequently are responsible for the fact that you did not bother to fully educate yourself about the process before jumping into it considering you only joined this forum (going by your previous username) in May, which was a couple of months after you had already sent in your AOS package.

Yeah, we were not “more honest” by telling you in advance to not relocate to a different State after sending in your AOS package even though we were only informed of this long after the fact. Yeah, we were not “more honest” even though at that point I took great care to explain here about how YOU have probably further delayed your case as a result of that move.

Yeah, we were not “more honest” by letting you and your CS know you were supposed to be given Hep B shot which led to your getting a RFE when you could have received your IL or a waiver at that point.

Finally, yeah we’ve not been honest enough, so we certainly need to be more honest about a service being provided for free (even to folks who have lawyers working for them).
I wasn't complaining about this forum - sorry you read it that way. I was merely venting about this AOS process.

You can ignore what the USCIS rep told you. CPO is an indication of case approval (of course nothing is certain until the actual GC is received, but usually there’s nothing to worry about from this stage).

And the responses to my questions are no longer relevant also.

p.s. remember to update the Timeline spreadsheet.

I did not read your post that way, that is exactly how it came across considering this is one forum where we discuss DV based AOS process, I’m not sure precisely where it is we’re supposed to be more honest with informing people about how horrible the process is. Venting about the process is one thing, stating we need to be more honest with informing people about the process being horrible is indicative of people being misled IMO.

Thank you, that's great news!
This forum has been extremely helpful in this arduous process. Thank you mom and everyone else.
I'll keep updating the spreadsheet when I get new status changes.

Also, I think you were right about the reason for the review: I told the IO I work as a contractor for a different company (as a representative of my actual company) and I think the IO wanted to make sure I did not violate my L1 status this way.

Hi @Sm1smom,

Today I received a reply from the congressman's office. They received the following information from USCIS regarding my case: "Thanks for your web inquiry regarding your constituent’s pending I-485, Application to Register for Permanent Residence. The constituent’s application is currently being reviewed by an Officer. He will be notified of any actions taken on the case." What do you interpret from this information? Should I expect a decision letter soon in the mail?? Thank you so much for all the help!

It means their aware of your application and it is still pending. Being reviewed could mean your background check clearance is still pending like I said before

Thank you! That means I could do nothing at this point and should keep waiting, right?

It has to do with a system glitch like they already told you and your lawyer, nothing specific to your case. There are other folks equally reporting the same or similar updates for their I-765.

There's really nothing you can do to move the case forward if the delay is background check related. USCIS is aware of the time crunch associated with DV based AOS applications, and they often try to expedite and resolve (on their own) cases stuck on AP as the FY end approaches.
