DV 2023 AOS (Adjustment of Status) Only

Congratulations.
Hi mr. @Sm1smom ,,, I just took a look on the dv charts, I saw there is 33,600 issued visa and about 5500 under 221g and 19000 ready for interview, do you think these numbers are close to the numbers for the last year?
And do you think there’s enough visa remain to AOS?

I'm sorry I do not analyze visa numbers. You can ask about visa numbers on this thread, maybe @Xarthisius or someone else may be able to answer your question.

Hello @Sm1smom,
I was planning to pay my AOS fee via money order (I am still in process of putting together my AOS package, though). But the post office employee told me that the money order needed to be mailed to the recipient right away, when I was filling it out.
My question is -- is it at all possible to send a money order to the lockbox separately, before mailing my AOS package? Or should I get my money order issued on the day I'll be sending my package in order to attach it directly to the package? Thank you in advance!

This is not correct.

There is no mechanism for sending documents separately to the lockbox. You can always buy money order and send it later.

I got a cashier's check from my bank, there was like $10.00 fee though!

Hello @Sm1smom
I received Green card today it’s been a while with this long journey thank you for answer all my questions and this forum make me feel like I’m not the only one who has problem with this AOS process haha anyway thanks a lot I’m appreciate it , good luck everyone and thank you again
Congrats! Enjoy your new life!

Hello everybody!

We passed the interview yesterday and received the status “New Card Is Being Produced” in the online cabinet. I want to thank @Sm1smom and the forum for their great help in preparing and going through all the steps with us this long and hard year. We had a very complicated case because we were paroled on Mexican border came to US as refugees from Ukraine and none of the lawyers knew anything about our questions. Without the forum and the clear and structured information presented in the spreadsheets, we would never have done it. Thank you so much!

I want to say a few words about the interview. Everything went very well. The officer was very friendly and kind. He quickly walked through the form, checked whether the information was updated at the moment, check whether we paid DV fees, diplomas, birth certificates. And that's all.

I want to wish everyone success. Everything is possible. Thank you @Sm1smom! You are doing tremendous job helping people.

Great news! Congratulations and thanks for the update. Not sure if you’re already on the Timeline Spreadsheet or not. If you’re not, please add your case update to it. Future selectees, especially those who may be in a similar situation as you were, will greatly benefit from it.

Thank you. Yes, we have updated the spreadsheet and added a link to the interview.

Does your husband have his passport with the visa stamp on it? He is not approved (regardless of what the CO told him at the end of his interview) until that happens.

If a derivative cannot process AOS following the main selectee's successful CP processing AND admission into the US as a LPR, this forum wouldn't have given the impression it was possible. I believe I made it quite clear it is a possible BUT the process is quite complicated (as a lot depends on when your husband enters the US on his NIV, your applicable FO's workload, their ability to retrieve your husband's case file from his embassy, etc. you may not have enough time to complete the process before the end of the FY). I believe I once stated your best bet would be for your own CN to become current and you process AOS based on that.

Anyway, I think you need to review some of the responses previously provided to you. I will make it easier for you to review those by leaving the links below for you:

1. May 12, 2022
2. April 28, 2023

May 16, 2023

Honestly speaking, you do have an additional option contrary to what you're thinking or stressing yourself out over things you have no control. Worst case scenario, you're unable to complete the AOS process before the end of the FY as your husband's derivate, or even as the main selectee (assuming your CN becomes current). Your husband can always petition and sponsor you and your children as soon as the FY is over.
Thank you @Sm1smom for your detailed response as usual and reminding me of the old posts.
I was just shocked when the consular told him your only option is CP after paying the AOS fees
Hoping for the best whether AOS or CP or FTJ if I could not make it before the fiscal year.
I will keep you updated
Thank you

@Sm1smom Still nothing from USCIS and starting to lose faith. Called them again and asked for a tier-2 officer to contact me/set a new appointment. Was given a request # and told I would get contacted by e-mail and receive a new notice by mail. Supposedly nothing has been scheduled yet... Starting to feel stressed about this one and the chances that I'd have to cancel an important family trip planned end of july that felt very safe until last week. Do you think it's time to start congressional inquiry?

Thanks,
Ilias

Hi Sm1smom,

I have a question that needs your help. I did my fingerprint and It had been almost 2 months after that, that I did not get anything update so I wondering When should I try to contact the officer(Like a real person, not AI). At this point, I'm so worried about the availability of 50,000 visas which have been running out every day, or am I misunderstood? Is AOS which has been accepted by USCIS can guarantee that we will gonna get visa (if we are eligible)?

This is my Timeline(Additional information)
Feb 2023 - My CN currently
Feb 17, 2023 - USCIS recieved my I485 application
Mar 16, 2023 - I got notification message
April 3, I got fingerprint schedule letter
April 13, I did fingerprint

Thank you so much for your help mom.
Sincerely.

Theoretically, number AS21193, how likey is it to go current in september? seeing no movement in the advanced august section. would you give up if you were me?

can somebody please respond.
We have no crystal ball, we therefore cannot predict if the AS region will go current or not - that is why one has responded to your post. In terms of if you should give up at this point or wait one more month, that is really your call, your decision to make.
