Please start by adding your timeline to the Timeline spreadsheet. The information you’ve provided above is not enough nor is it the right information for analyzing your case. A pending AOS application does not guarantee an approval.Hi Sm1smom,
I have a question that needs your help. I did my fingerprint and It had been almost 2 months after that, that I did not get anything update so I wondering When should I try to contact the officer(Like a real person, not AI). At this point, I'm so worried about the availability of 50,000 visas which have been running out every day, or am I misunderstood? Is AOS which has been accepted by USCIS can guarantee that we will gonna get visa (if we are eligible)?
This is my Timeline(Additional information)
Feb 2023 - My CN currently
Feb 17, 2023 - USCIS recieved my I485 application
Mar 16, 2023 - I got notification message
April 3, I got fingerprint schedule letter
April 13, I did fingerprint
Thank you so much for your help mom.
Sincerely.
Take a look at the FAQ section of the AOS Process Spreadsheet, following you make your own decision. So I know it is best to wait until you get the receipt back from the SASE before sending in the AOS package. But since it is already June, should I risk sending the package in without the reciept just to get the ball rolling?
I sent it about the 3 weeks ago, says it was picked up about a week later, and then only cashed last week. So I feel like I could be waiting awhile for it to come. What would be your advice??? Thanks!
Yes, I've read all of the materials, and I know that by not sending it with original package you have less chance of having interview waived, but I just thought because time is getting on maybe it might be smarter to start sooner and just hope they ask for an RFE instead? I was just wondring at this point in time almost into the second week of June (and probably third by the time I send it) it would be too risky?? My number was available in May if that helps you give a better opinion. What would you do?? Hold out another week or two or just go for it?Take a look at the FAQ section of the AOS Process Spreadsheet, following you make your own decision.
My job here is simply that of providing you with what I deem pertinent information to help you make your own decision. I am not you, you are not me, I have no knowledge of what your risk tolerance level is, nor do you know what mine is. So I cannot tell you what I will do if this was my case. I’ve given you the best information you can’t get anywhere else for free. I'm really worried about my upcoming USCIS interview schedule. I just want to know when I should reach out to the officer. I'm so nervous that maybe they've missed my case, and I'm afraid I won't be able to make it by September. Please start by adding your timeline to the Timeline spreadsheet. i cant wait to post something like this. congrats !!!!!Dear @Sm1smom,
Today, my daughters cases status has been changed as "New Card is Being Produced". So USCIS waived the interview. Although I submitted a congressional case assistance yesterday, I doubt it had any effect on the progress of the case.
This forum has been so helpful and I am so grateful to @Sm1smom and forum members for valuable information and advises provided throughout the process.
Thank You
D
Are you listed on the timeline spreadsheet? It is really hard to give any advice without those info.I'm really worried about my upcoming USCIS interview schedule. It's been 2 months already since I did my fingerprints, and I still haven't gotten my interview letter or the online case status update.
I would really appreciate your help.
Unfortunately , No one can knowfor the cases not current in august or july, is there much hope left for the last month?
AOS spreadsheet -> AOS process tab -> line 12When people talk about USCIS online accounts, do you create one yourself or is that something they do after you send your package in?
Thank you @nur1234 .It has been approved on May 19
The card has been delivered on May 27
SSN card has been delivered on May 30
But I noticed that it is written on the SSN card that “valid for work only with dhs authorization”, maybe by mistake.
Therefore, I went to the SSA office to remove the text on the SSN card. I’m waiting for my updated SSN card to be delivered.
Never a good idea to provide unsolicited information.Hello mom!
I have a question in regards of a RFIE sent by USCIS asking for my birth certificate. It looks like the document I sent wasn’t the actual birth certificate, obviously. When I asked my dad for the actual birth certificate, he realized that he didn’t have it, and so he had to make an inquiry at the court through a letter. They eventually made my birth certificate, and the birth certificate has today’s date.
My question is: once I’m going to send the birth certificate to USCIS, do you advise that I also send the inquiry letter that my dad wrote to ask for the certificate in case the IO is curious as of why the birth certificate shows a very recent date??
Or should I just send the birth certificate and its translation only ?
Your Dad’s letter to the court requesting your B/C is irrelevant. Before you send in what you just obtained, be sure to take a look at the Reciprocity page (link below) and make sure what you just obtained is in alignment with what is expected from your country. Sending in the wrong document in response to a RFI/RFE will lead to a denial, no second chance at fixing whatever the issue is.Hello mom!
