DV 2023 AOS (Adjustment of Status) Only

Thank you !
Yes I looked at it and it does align
My dad followed the process described below since he failed to file within the 90 days. That’s why I was wondering whether or not the IO wanted proof of the supplemental court order that my dad made in order to receive my B/C.

Dear @Sm1smom,

I did not receive the "Approval Notice" yet. I would like to know what is this approval notice and the content in it.

Thank you
D
The approval notice is just like the name says. It typically gets issued to notify you of your approval. Since you already received your GC itself, that notice is no longer relevant for you.

Hi @Sm1smom, I opened the link to find the lockbox filing locations chart for certain family based forms, I read the first sentence, then scrolled down and found this Lockbox address for Atlanta:

USCIS Elgin Lockbox

U.S. Postal Service (USPS):

USCIS
Attn: AOS
P.O. Box 4109
Carol Stream, IL 60197-4109

FedEx, UPS, and DHL deliveries:

USCIS
Attn: AOS (Box 4109)
2500 Westfield Drive
Elgin, IL 60124-7836

Could you please just confirm the this is the right address? Sorry I am more scared and anxious than before.
Thanks for your help!

Hello Mom! Sorry for not providing more details
My applicable country is the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

You can include the Supplemental court order if you like (it wouldn’t hurt your case), but I don’t think it’s inclusion is necessary.

Hi @Sm1smom, Live agents connected by Emma are giving contradicting information. Last time they said that my application was in FO, but today they are saying it is in NBC. Further, today they said: "Your application is currently processing with the National Benefits Center. It will only be transferred to the field office if an interview is required. There is no new update since biometrics were applied. Just continue to wait for further updates from the office processing your case". What do you interpret from this information? Should I continue to wait or do something? Please suggest me. FYI, Bio was taken on May 8th; no update after that. Thank you!

It is not unusual for them to provide conflicting information when they're unable to see anything else beyond what you can see online about your case. Your application should already with your FO, regardless of if the interview will be scheduled or get waived. And it is not unusual to have no new update for a while following the bio completion. For now, you can take a look at some of the past Timeline spreadsheets to get an idea of how long it took previous filers from your FO to move on to the next phase following bio completion.

Hello everyone. When the field office requests our case, does CEAC updates the case location on our DS-260 page? Currently, my case is at KCC. Does it mean the FO hasn't requested it yet?

Still nothing from USCIS... However, I did just receive an email from my congressman's office stating that they asked "them to schedule them appointment as early as possible" and that they'd update me as soon as they hear back from USCIS.

I called back USCIS asking about my callback/tier2 service request to be updated ASAP I made last week and they told me that an officer has been assigned to it so I should hear back very soon. @Sm1smom do you know if I can read into any of that or that's just the information specialist not being too sure of what's going on?

I think you just need to be patient, interview rescheduling can take a while. Trying to read (or not read) any meaning into what you've been told is a futile effort IMO, the only significant thing at this point is to see the actual IL or case approval.

With the payment of $1225 for I-485, if there are two people would I need two different money orders or would it be one money order of $2450?

Hi all,
I am getting a bit worried as I have not heard anything from USCIS.
My case number is 2023AS00018XXX. My current month was March 2023.
Applicable field office is Brooklyn, New York.
I received my 01st NOA on 24th March 2023 and gave my bio on 14th April 2023.
I have not heard anything since.
Does it take this long to hear back after giving bio?

Appreciate any feedback that may be helpful.

Best xx.

Hi mom,
Finally I have received the interview notice today. Thank you so much for your help and advice.
I have one more question. I will have my husband and my two sons with me, my husband's English is not perfect, should we arrange for him an interpreter or I can help him if he need's translation?

Thanks you so much
amalr

Yes, for some FOs. Also for some applicants whose background check clearance is pending, it may take a bit longer. You can initiate a congressional case inquiry assistance at this point though.
