DV 2023 AOS (Adjustment of Status) Only

When putting the AOS package together, does the I-485 form need to have a paper clip and placed inside one clear sleeve? Or is it best to have one page per clear sleeve? I hope that makes sense!
Please use your discretion. You can also take a look at the "AOS Package Assemble" tab/sheet of the AOS Process Spreadsheet to see samples of how some of the past selectees put their AOS packages together.

Dear mom,
would you please let me know does it require to write name of my derivative in each paper of my personal check?
Thank you

@Sm1smom
Hopefully, it will be the correct address.
In case , I didn’t receive the receipt in time, is it ok to file my AOS package attached to it the money order confirmation and a scanned copy of the check that was sent?
You may do that, I cannot guarantee the outcome of doing so. You should also take a look at the AOS FAQ tab of the AOS Process Spreadsheet

Dear @Sm1smom,

I have started Congressional case assistance, however, do you think my case is exceptionally delayed comparing to other AOS cases? (St. Antonio Field Office). With your experience on analyzing timeline data, when can i expect an interview/or Card issuance notice?

Thank you.
D

I wouldn’t say your case is “exceptionally” delayed compared to other cases with the same FO as yours. However, compared to one of those which got filed early Mar. (you filed late Jan.) and already got interview waived as of May 18th, yours could be considered delayed. On the other hand, compared to another case, same FO, filed early Jan. (couple of weeks before you did), got interview waived as of May 19th, yours could be considered to be on track. I cannot predict when you should or will get an interview waiver or IL, all I can say is ‘hang in there’. Bear in mind, background check clearance plays a significant role in the approval process. Applicant A may be able to complete the process within one or two months of filing, applicant B could take several months (or years, for nonDV based AOS cases) to complete the process due to pending background check clearance.

Hi, I am the winner of DV 2023. I have a high case number of 20XXX from asia region(Nepal). Is it too early to fill up the DS-260? I am in US in student visa. I am looking to go back to homecountry in coming winter vacation I.e. december/january for a month. Would filling the DS-260 now be a trouble to me while entering US back after winter vacation? Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.
Heyy I have a similar case. I’m too residing here in U.S. as a student. Have you already filed the I-485 form? I needed help with one of the sections.

Take a look at the AOS Process Spreadsheet, it has a link to a pre-filled sample I-485 which you can refer to.

I sent MO to KCC for two times via USPS, they cashed those were for second times after mailing them millions email, but the zip code was not the one that I see in your confirmation of delivery. The zip code should be 63197-9000
Could you please share the screenshot of your tracking history? Thanks

@Sm1smom , I have a question. If I don't have documents for package (I had my passport with DS-2019 and old visas- I lost them and then applied for new passport) do I need to somehow explain to USCIS in some cover letter that those documents will not be found in the package as I do not have access to them physically? What is with lost documents case?
Thank you for help!

Hello everyone! I have a question in regards of I-485. As I am unemployed, unmarried F1 student, have only saving in the acc. At the page of 13, question 62- as a household should I put number 1 (as I am single), or should I put all family members I live now (my friend has a family of 5)?
Also, question 63,64,65 same page - Do I still put $0 as I don't have anything except savings?

No. Don’t provide unsolicited information. Send whatever you have. They will let you know if they have any question about your missing documents.

Your friends are not members of your household. Take a look at the sample pre-filled I-485 form.

Hello mom, I have a question regarding I-693:

In the previous edition of form I-693, in Vaccination record (Part 10), for influenza vaccine, it was written like this:
*For Influenza vaccine, check the box in this column only if vaccine is not medically appropriate because it is not flu season.
So the CS would check the last column for influenza vaccine and that's done.

But now, In the new edition of I-693 (Edition 03/09/2023), it is written like this:
*For influenza vaccine, check the box in this column only if vaccine is not available in the location where the civil surgeon practices. The civil surgeon is responsible for knowing local availability of the influenza vaccine.

I am little confused. Can you please suggest what it means? Since this is not flu season, I did not get the flu vaccine. Is it still alright if the last column is checked and in the Remarks section it be written: Not a flu season, no influenza vaccine given. or something like this.

And also another question on the first page of the new edition of form I-693:
In the recent edition, In Part 1, question no 4 (Immigration Medical Examination Requirement), it does not look like I should check the box, because I came to the US in F1 status and during the admission process, my University asked to complete MMR vaccine and bring the record. So I completed MMR back in my country and nothing else.
0. Does this count as "overseas immigration medical examination"?
1. What is the purpose of adding this question to the new edition?
2. Should I check the box?

Always appreciated your suggestions and time.

The CS is responsible for filing out that section of the form. They know what to do, you can stop stressing over the wording of the previous version vs the current version.

The exception is not applicable to you, you did not complete an immigration related overseas medical exam prior to coming to the US. Those who meet the exception criteria are clearly listed on the form. The medical form is not meant for DV based applicants only, that’s all you need to know in terms of why that question has been included on the new form.
