DV 2023 AOS (Adjustment of Status) Only

Your friends are not members of your household. Take a look at the sample pre-filled I-485 form.
@Sm1smom thank you for your answer. The pre-filed sample shows that someone. What about number 65 and liabilities? I do not have anything besides some money. Should I put $0 or option 2?
Thank you

If you have absolutely no liabilities, then select the option which is applicable to you.

Dear @Sm1smom ,

If the IL is sent, can USCIS call center agent see that?

As I told you before, my daughter does not have access to her university dorm mail box, however she is checking with the mailroom once a week on the receipt of any paper mail. In addition, we have requested to send copy of all notices and GC to our lawyer ( he received a copy of Bio appt notice) However I do not want to miss any communications, hence trying to be extra careful not to miss this.

We have been calling call center weekly basis just to check whether an interview has been scheduled so we would know when to expect IL. (If they are able to see)

One of the agent said the case has been transferred to FO. Is that mean background checks have been completed?

Thank you
D

1. It depends on if the FO updates online. More often than not, they do not do that for DV based AOS cases, so the call center agents will not be able to tell if an interview has been scheduled or not.
2. Case transfer from the NBC to the FO has nothing to do with the background check clearance. The transfer is an automatic next step regardless of the background check status.

Good morning,
Which email or how can I contact
U.S. Department of State Diversity Visa Program in Missouri to request a receipt of my payment ?
I am worried that the money order was cashed by the wrong people due to my package tracking

Hi dear Mom,
my case number is 14k and I recently moved to US on F1 visa. (less than 3 months for now)
My case number is still not current. but we have only a few months left for our applications to be processed.
Can you please guide me about the steps I have to take in order to process my application?
1)Should I await for my case number to be current in order to file my 485 file? Or it is better to file it now?
2)Can I proceed my application with USCIS ? I tried calling them but they want a recipient number to connecet me to an agent.
3)How long does the medical form valid for? Can I fill out and complete my medical forms? or they might be expired?
4) should I pay the fee now? so that i recieve the fee reciept on time for the time my case number is current?
overall, what should I do now to increase my chances and dont loose time when I got current?
Thank you!

Take a look at the AOS spreadsheet (link in the first post of the thread). You will do yourself a favor by properly spending time and going through that.

The steps involved in processing a DV based AOS application are well laid out on the AOS Process Spreadsheet. You need to spend some quality time reviewing each sheet of that spreadsheet to enhance your understanding of the steps involved.
1. If you file before your CN falls under the numbers listed on the VB, your application will be rejected. If it manages to make it through without being rejected by the Lockbox, it will subsequently be denied by the FO.
2. See response one above. Stop wasting your time by calling the USCIS, you will not be provided with an accurate information regarding the process. So, familiarize yourself with the AOS Process Spreadsheet.
3. Medical exam validity is covered on the AOS Process Spreadsheet - familiarize yourself with the tool.
4. Yes you may make the payment now if you like, as long as you’re aware the fee is non-refundable if your CN ends up not becoming current. So again, familiarize yourself with the AOS Process Spreadsheet. Spend some time going over the FAQ sheet/tab of the spreadsheet.

Yes, that is the correct mailing address based on you residing in Texas. The difference between the two is actually already listed there - it is based on if you’re mailing your package via USPS or courier delivery. The best one for mailing your package is whichever you’re able to afford and are comfortable with using.

Hi there,

It has been 60 days since I did the biometrics and still didn't get any interview notice yet. I called USCIS and asked an agent about the normal processing time for DV AOS and she had no idea what is DV AOS. She put me on hold to ask a supervisor and got back to me and said that I need to call one more time after at least 115 days from the biometrics date! Does that sound right? I'm scared that our FO doesn't recognize that we are doing AOS and our case needs to be processed by the end of September 2023. What should I do?

Have you looked at the historic data from your FO in the AOS timeline spreadsheet?

PS Add your timeline to the spreadsheet if you would like forum members be able to give you any useful insight.

You need to add your case data to the 2023 Timeline Spreadsheet in order for us to get a clearer insight into your case processing and subsequently provide the applicable guidance as pertain to you.

Hello @Sm1smom ,
It’s been over 3 months after I did biometric and . I haven't heard back from Congressman is that normal ? Emma isn't helpful at all she keeps telling me to wait I've been getting conflicted information. Is there anyway to reach the officer or USCIS call or email, I’m desperately trying to extend my patience but it’s unusual I’m worried because fiscal year is getting closer

1. When did you contact the congressman's office?
2. Have you followed up with the congressman's office?
3. Have you tried submitting an inquiry to the senators from your state?

it has been over 60 days since I submitted my RFE documents and I only get my first case update yesterday saying fingerprints were taken (which I done my Bio in October last year not sure why it update now)
If anyone have recs for the lawyers in New York (Manhattan) please give me some references. I spoke to three lawyers and all not familiar with DV or even ask me to wait for more than a year on my case...
