DV 2023 AOS (Adjustment of Status) Only

Hello everyone, my online case status just turned to "New Card Is Being Produced". I just wanted to share and let you know. I would like to thank everyone in this group. Especially, Mom, of course. Always responded to my posts promptly and patiently. I know I was really annoying and wanted to get it done. Nevertheless, she was always great support. I will love to write a post about what I had to go through and hopefully, it will be help to other people.
Congratulations, friend! We are all so happy for you! I’m next in a queue now :)

Hello @Sm1smom, as you can see from the spreadsheet, my case was approved and my GC is out for delivery. From the tracking number I can see it will arrive Friday 19th. My question is: For work-related reasons, I will be flying to Europe on Friday (so I won't be able to have my GC with me) and will be back at the end of the month. I have my H1B visa and I received a welcome letter. will it be ok to show the H1B (the H1B is valid until 2025) when I will be back to the airport officer or can they see I am now a permanent resident and create problems for my admission into the country?

Thank you very much in advance,
N.

Hello, my case was current in April. My bio was waived in April 7( because of pending U visa application). Since then, I don't have any update
. They never update anything in case status too. Is it normal not to get anything update for 40 days? I chat with emma and they say the case is in Dallas Field Office and case was last reviewed in April 25,2023. Has anyone experienced this before?

This all depends on your specific FO. Have you compared your timeline with your fellow Dallas FO applicants?

Yes I did. Few people got interview waiver after 15 16 days and i saw one or two people got after 1 month as well. Its not in our hand anyways. Lets hope for the best

Good morning,
When sending the fee payment , Do I have to mention my husband’s name who is the main applicant or only me and my children who are adjusting status here?
Is it okay to include all the names on one paper or separate papers for each person.
Thank you
If you’re making the payment based on your husband’s CN, his name and CN are the only information that must be listed on the payment form (including the number of people the payment is for). You do not list your name nor those of your children on the form itself.

1. Now that you find the timeline helpful, maybe add your info so that you get better help and also others can use?
2. If that is the case, maybe you shouldn't just "hope for the best", and start using your follow up options, like picking up the phone and talking to tier 1?
3. Also, have you included both KCC fee receipt and medical exam in your package?

No, not okay to return with your NIV if you’ve already been issued with a GC - admitting back as a non immigrant when you’re now a LPR in the system would be wrong. The visa is technically no longer valid

3. Yes, I did both.

Hi, @Sm1smom, thank you for replying!
so if I understand correctly.
1.I cannot enter the US with the I797 (NOA) i got in the email, right?
2. my H1B (and visa stamp on my passport) from the moment my permanent residence was approved, is no longer valid?
3. Can someone (there will be colleagues i trust) flying after 2 days, bring me the GC? Can this be a lawful option?

Thanks
N.

1. I wouldn’t recommend that.
2. Technically no longer valid for use. You can’t be on H1B and LPR at the same time.
3. Yes.

@JULIA-GLOWS did you finally get your interview notice at LA Office?
Thank you so much! I am pretty sure that you will get it. I had lost all my hope and never thought that I am ever gonna get scheduled for an interview and in one moment "boom" everything changed. Hang in there. You will get it soon. Did you place an expedite request?

Unfortunately, no news yet. Talked to Emma today, no interview updates...

I told you is not over until it is over!!! :)

I didn’t not place an expedite request, but I was able to file an USCIS online inquiry. Since it’s already 6 months (case is outside processing time). I’ve got a basic reply from them 6 days ago: We are experiencing a high volume of applications. Your case is in line for review. You do not need to do anything at this time. If we need anything from you, we will mail you a request for evidence. When we make a decision on your case, we will mail a notice to you or your representative at the address you gave us.

I will definitely keep you all updated once I receive an IL.

Yes, please keep us updated.

Please do not lose hope (from personal experience: I did, but I should not have). I also filed out of processing time and they also sent me a generic response like the one you got. After several weeks, I got it to "New card is being produced". It sucks now but when you get it, you will know that it was all worth it.

As Mom has mentioned multiple times, I really believe that field offices are aware of the deadline and they will do their best to get it approved before the end of the fiscal year. Even if you are stuck at AP or administrative processing, they will try their best to get AP done before the deadline. Be patient and hang in there! I can't wait to hear good news from you!!!

Hi @Sm1smom,
It has been 7 days since I attended my interview in Boise-Idaho. My case status has not been updated from "fingerprints were taken". I chatted with Emma and was informed that my case is under processing and the latest update is "fingerprints were taken on April 11". I sent an email to KCCDV@state.gov to inquire if my file has been sent to my FO but I was referred to direct my inquiry to USCIS (1-800-375-5283).
During the interview, my FO mentioned that if she reviewed my KCC file and everything is okay, I should get my card within 2-4 weeks. Should I wait for this estimated time or proceed to inquire USCIS customer service?

1. What is the trend for the case approvals for applicants from Boise FO? Do they get immediate approvals?
2. Did you ask if your background check was completed? If not, does your field of study fall under TIL list? Or are you from a country where background check usually takes longer?

1. I have seen only one case from the Spreadsheet (2020) and it was approved immediately.
2. If you mean asking the FO, no

Hello Blade_

How long does USCIS takes to respond to congresswomen ? Who will be more helpful Congresswomen/ Man or 2 tier officer to inquire case and fix it.
