DV 2022 AOS (Adjustment of Status) Only

Just to add in, I did include a printed page of the Word document which indicated the DV name winner & Case Number into the evenlope along with SASE.
I also didn’t include my case number on the cashier’s check but had it on the form. It took a while to get the receipt but the check itself was cashed okay (1 week after delivery). You can probably wait for a while and track online if it was cashed.

Thanks for your response. This eases my mind slightly of not going through the hassle of sending in another round of money order!
Just to know how long it took to get your DV receipt?

I hope your money order gets processed okay.
I took about 7 weeks to get the receipt (delivered in July, got the receipt in September). I’m guessing the delay was because of me sending the fee payment before the start of FY 2022, but it could be for many other reasons.

Not necessarily so. The Timeline spreadsheet actually shows a couple of payments made and processed well before the start of the 2022 FY.

Hi all,
Did anyone got interview or invited on February?
I got invite on 17th. But no mail yet. Phoenix location.
When are we going to get it via mail? I saw it’s different but for every case. But anyone got update recent?

After we paid the $330 DV fee, do we need to wait for the receipt of the $330 DV fee to be mailed to us before we can mail our AOS package to USCIS?

You may decide to send in your AOS package without waiting to receive the DV payment receipt first (for inclusion in the AOS package). However before you do so, I recommend you take a look at the AOS FAQ tab/section of the AOS process spreadsheet first.

Hi everyone,

I am currently preparing for sending out my AOS package to the Phoenix lockbox.

I have a number for questions:

1) My wife will be apply FTJ from Japan after I finish my process, how should I fill Q10. In the I-485 "Is your current spouse applying with you?"?

2) In the form, It asks for the USCIS online account number. I applied for F1 OPT online and I do have a "My USCIS" online account, but I am not sure how to access/find this number. It's not explicitly available on the account. I also left it blank in the sealed medical check form.

3) How should I fill in the info for the money order to USCIS? In the form instructions it says make it payable to the "US Department of Homeland Security". Should I list an address and my DV number as well?

1. She’s not applying for AOS with you, so that should be a NO.
2. You can leave the section blank if you don’t know what your USCIS a/c number is.
3. Yes (your address).

Hi all - just wanted to see whether paying the $330 DV fee and completing the medical exam itself would trigger immigrant intent (or would it just be the actual filing of an adjustment of status/DS160)? Thanks!

The DS260 submission and the DV administrative fee payment both demonstrate an immigrant intent.

Question about filing the I-134 - I've been on my OPT year since July 2021 and have stable income from a full time job. I'm financially comfortable but don't have much in savings. Someone is willing to sponsor me but I don't want to ask if it's not necessary, so can I just submit employment letter, bank statements, pay stubs, etc?

Hello,

I would like to ask you two questions.

1-I and my daughter were on J2 Visa in between 2009-2011(We're currently on H4 visa now) I have the passports which these visas issued on. But I couldn't find our DS-2019 forms from back then. Could it be a problem for USCIS?
2-I have our most recent I-94s only. As I read in the instruction that you prepared on excel, they need only current I-94s. It means most recent ones, right?

Thank you for your help. This form helps me a lot.

You’ll need to make your own judgment call on this.

1. The instructions says:
“If you previously held or currently hold J-1 (principal) or J-2 (dependent) nonimmigrant exchange visitor status, you must submit copies of all relevant Forms IAP-66 and/or Forms DS-2019, Certificate of Eligibility for Exchange Visitor (J-1) Status, ever issued to you (if available). You must also submit copies of all available J-1 or J-2 nonimmigrant visas issued to you, and copies of all available Form I-94 and passport pages with entry stamps showing your admission to the United States in J-1 or J-2 status.”
However, if you no longer have those or cannot locate them, there’s really nothing you can do in that case but to file as is and hope no issue gets raised about not submitting those documents.

2. While the current I-94 is important for demonstrating one entered the country legally, it doesn’t hurt to have the past I-94s also (at least having them on hand for when you go for your interview) as those are one of the ways of demonstrating continuously maintaining a lawful presence in the past.

p.s. I hope your J visa wasn’t subject to a 2 YHRR, or you’ve completed or obtained the required waiver if it was.

Thanks! Just a follow up question - I’m on an E3 (been in the US for most of the past 2 years but went for a short trip and got back in early Jan). My number will be current in April. I know the 90 day rule only applies to consular officers, however I know folks here don’t recommend immediately filing an AOS.
Do folks think it’ll be an issue making the DV fee payment now (~2 months since last entry) and submitting in April (~3 months since last entry). Thanks again!

Which folks here do not recommend filing immediately? Can you be more specific as to the posts that gave you the impression that folks here are recommending for someone who recently entered the US to wait for 90 days before filing for AOS? I’m not sure you’ve come across the recent responses provided to selectees asking about the 90 day rule on this thread.

Thank you very much for your reply Mom. Our J visas was subject to a 2YHRR. We completed 2 years in our country (actually we stayed 7 years in our country until we came back here with H visas) It has really been a long time and I was so confused in those times. The forms(DS-2019) might even be at home in my home country. I just found one of our documents. There must be one or two more. I really don't know. I guess I lost them :( I hope there won't be any problem about it. I and my daughter were derivatives of my husband. He has no lost DS-2019 document.

I appreciate for your replies Mom. This website is my guide while I have been trying to prepare our green card documents.
