DV 2022 AOS (Adjustment of Status) Only

Hi, Just a quick question: What if you have passive tuberculosis and your CS prescribes 9 months of medications? Will CS still be able to prepare my I-693 so that I can send my I-485? Is there a way to keep the change of status going or is it over?
It depends. How did your CS classify your TB infection? Is it B2 TB, Latent TB Infection (LTBI)? If yes, while it is true your CS is required to report the TB findings to your local health department, you’re not required to complete the treatment before the CS signs off on your I-693 (as long as you’ve commenced the treatment).

If it is classified as Class A TB, or Class B0, Pulmonary TB, you will need to complete the treatment before the CS can re-designate your TB infection and sign off on the I-693 form. This must happen within the applicable FY (including the AOS application process and approval).

A quick question, I remember having Chicken Pox when I was a child. As per the AOS spreadsheet, the varicella vaccine will be waived if I had chickenpox in the past. In order to prove I had chickenpox in the past, do I have to provide a medical record of having chickenpox, or just telling the CS orally that I had chickenpox in the past would work?

When I did my medical last year, the CS said the Varicella vaccine was the only vaccine we can confirm orally.
The CDC website says: “An applicant who provides a reliable written or oral history of varicella disease does not require laboratory confirmation or further vaccination” (Sorry I couldn’t link it).
You can also find out by calling your CS office.

No medical proof required. Oral confirmation is usually enough.

i had my first appointment for my medical today and they didn't take my oral confirmation for varicella... i had to pay for the blood test, which will probably show i had it when i was a child. anyway, i would also recommend calling you CS office to make sure, cause it really was an unnecessary extra cost.

The CS should have accepted your oral confirmation - making you pay for the blood test as some form of confirmation was just an opportunity for them to make some extra bucks which they do not deserve. So yeah, I agree asking if they will accept oral confirmation with regards to varicella prior to going in is a good idea.

First of all thanks a lot for your incredible help.
Second I am trying to do AOS and I want to know if there is a sample email to inform KCC my plan to change from CP to AOS. I want to know if there is some special way to redact this letter.

A question about AOS.
Is it possible to pay the 330 $ fee via debit card?
Or otherwise, only money order/cashier checks are accepted?

I don’t have a sample email, but someone else does. Anyway, it’s just a simple email you need to send, nothing special. Just make sure you follow the instructions listed on your selectee notification letter on how to contact the KCC.

Hi,
I paid the biometric fee when I submitted the NIW-485 in 2021, and the biometrics were done in October 2021. Do I need to pay the fee and go through the USCIS biometric process again (for DV 2022)?

Yes you need to pay the fee. USCIS however may decide to waive the biometrics collection, you however still need to make the payment.

I'm planning on doing my medical within the next two weeks and noticed Form I-693 expires 03/31/2022; I'm hoping my number goes current in the next visa bulletin for OC (although it has stayed the same before, hoping it won't again as I only need it to go up <10 to send my AOS package). Is it worth waiting for the new form to be released (I don't know how on top of them they are?) before I do my medical.

Expiration date doesn't mandate a new form release. Even if they were to release an updated form it comes with a grace period.

Just realized I sent my DV fee without printing my DV Case number on the money order!!
Anyone else here manage to get DV fee processed without printing their DV case number on the cashier check / money order?

Just to add in, I did include a printed page of the Word document which indicated the DV name winner & Case Number into the evenlope along with SASE.
