We have interviews for 9/26! For background, we sent an expedite request on August 19 as my spouse (and dependent case) couldn't leave the country with AOS pending, and was missing out on an international contract. The expedite was based on severe financial loss. I posted earlier about the fact we were asked to send supporting documents to an email address that read "insert email address". We mailed the documents through USPS and called several times to try and get a proper email address and were constantly told we would be called back. I received several emails and text messages saying I would receive a call in the next 1-2 days but no one ever called. Finally, after calling AGAIN on Friday, the agent we got said she could see the email asking us to send documents to a blank email address and said we would be called back within 72 hours and we actually were! The caller said said she would let the Los Angeles Field Office supervisor know what had happened. A couple of hours later my congressman emailed to say they'd received an update that we had interviews and included the letters scheduling my interviews. I sent my request to the congressman 30 days ago. Anyway, the deadline for my partner's contract passed, so we missed out on that, but we are excited to have interviews. I was worried I was pestering USCIS too much by calling, but I think it was the right thing to do. I think we just finally got someone who bothered looking at our case and could see the USCIS error and then actually put in a request for us to be called back urgently, rather than just saying they would, like all the other people we had spoken to had done. So persevere.....Just incidentally, I'm not sure if the fact we asked for our case to be expedited actually slowed the process down initially. Also, not sure if the fact that there are 5 of us (me, my spouse and 3 kids) made it slow. Who knows?
