I have been working remotely less than 3 weeks. If I won't get 2NL, I will return back to US anyway and have to do AOS. Because I do not have any other options.Working remotely outside the US on OPT is a grey area, I don’t know if USCIS considers that a status violation or not to even start with. So I don’t know if you’re still considered eligible to process AOS in this case. I mean how long have you been working remotely outside the US while waiting for your 2NL?
Less than 3 weeks? Hmm, that’s interesting considering your post back on Apr 27th indicates you were already out of the US from that date, if not much longer. It doesn’t make any sense to me that someone who only left the US to work remotely 3 weeks ago will now be wondering about having to wait for 3 months before filing for AOS should they decide to switch over. I would have looked into getting AOS eligibility questions answered before deciding to depart from the US 3 weeks ago to go wait for a 2NL with no clear idea of when it may come if I was in such a situation.I have been working remotely less than 3 weeks. That is great. Did you connect to a live agent? What did you exactly ask? I do not get any reasonable answer from EMMA.Update: I received my NOA on 6/22 and today I was able to get my Bio appointment details through Emma live agent. I haven't received the official mail yet and no update on my USCIS account.
Really? How did you pull that off? What keywords did you put across to Emma to elicit that information?Update: I received my NOA on 6/22 and today I was able to get my Bio appointment details through Emma live agent. I haven't received the official mail yet and no update on my USCIS account.

Yeah - I connected to a live agent through Emma. I tried multiple key words to get transferred to a live agent. The only thing that actually helped me get connected to a live agent was this YouTube video:Really? How did you pull that off? What keywords did you put across to Emma to elicit that information?
Thank you. I saw this a couple of days ago. I just tried it out and it works great.Yeah - I connected to a live agent through Emma. I tried multiple key words to get transferred to a live agent. The only thing that actually helped me get connected to a live agent was this YouTube video:
I asked the agent if he had any updates about my biometrics and if my appointment has been scheduled yet. He then replied with the date and time of my appointment!
1. Wouldn’t hurt to include.Hi guys.
I am submitting my packet today and I am sort of over-thinking it, but I have 2 questions.
1. If I am submitting an affidavit of support, I don't need to submit any of my w-2's or tax documents.
2. On the cashier's cheque do I pay to the order of the US Department of State or U.S Department of Homeland Security.
Thank you.
thank you

There’s no way to tell. Recommend you go ahead and attend the 2nd bio appointment.Hi guys,
I got a first bio letter from my old address and I had a biometric fingerprint on June 10 and today (July 1) I received another bio letter but from my new address. so it’s the uscis mistake or something was wrong with my bio? I talked to Emma and it said most likely a mistake of the ASC so I wasn’t sure. Is anyone have the same experience with me? Thank you in advance
Glad to hear that you have your interview scheduled! Having read varying stories of whether doing biometrics early actually advances your interview date, I decided to roll the dice and see. Seems like it helpedI hope so! I submitted/ received all my documents before yours except for you doing biometrics 3 days before me… my status changed to interview scheduled yesterday and asked EMMA today when my interview was but they said they can’t see a date, just that one has been scheduled.
I was interested in your timeline (OC, Los Angeles, E3) but can’t say I wasn’t a little peeved when I noticed your entries today , guess a few days earlier doing your biometrics does make a difference?
I doubt that an early walk-in biometrics helps in speeding up the interview date schedule, as the two things proceed in parallel and are managed by two different offices. Bio is scheduled by NBC, while interview is scheduled by the local FO.Glad to hear that you have your interview scheduled! Also - when I reached out to a live agent through EMMA, they said they couldn't see a date - but when my wife asked separately (she is the derivative applicant), the interview date was on the system for her. Based on previous responses from other LA FO folk, I'm sure I have nothing to worry about... I'll just turn up to her appointment if I really don't end up with a letter in the mail.
Some FOs do want until after the bio has been completed before scheduling the interview. A bio walk-in is of tremendous help in such a situation as in the sooner the bio gets completed, the quicker the FO schedules the interview (or approves the case if they decide to waive the interview).I doubt that an early walk-in biometrics helps in speeding up the interview date schedule, as the two things proceed in parallel and are managed by two different offices. I did receive the interview letter the day after receiving the bio letter, so clearly the two are pretty much unrelated.
However, I think that an early walk in may help at the interview, in case the bio and interview date are close each other.
An early bio might help to make sure that the background is completed by the time you attend the interview, hence increasing the chance of approval on spot
Which makes sense considering we are both OC, same visa, LA, I also have a lower case number (if that matters in AOS), submitted my package earlier, payment cashed earlier, received NOA earlier, Bio letter earlier, the only difference was they completed their bio 3 days earlier than myself. Some FOs do want until after the bio has been completed before scheduling the interview.
