DV 2022 AOS (Adjustment of Status) Only

Hi, Thanks so much for the wealth of information on this forum! I had my interview yesterday with Fairfax FO, The interview went really quick and smooth, no documents asked even though I was told to bring a few, just going over yes/no questions in the i485. The officer then gave me a white sheet of paper with the first box ticked - Interview completed , your case is being held for review. I presume this is the norm for this particular FO as is the case with others on this forum. My case status has not updated since biometrics - Still shows Fingerprints Taken! Hoping for an update soon!

Hi Grafaah,
Last Friday, we had the same experience. Yep, it hasn't changed our status too.
Yardman and Frederik had the same experience one month ago.

Hi all,

I’m a DV2022 selectee AS8xxx.

I already sent out my AOS package on 03/01/2022 and received the NOA on 03/15/2022 I did my Biometrics on 04/18/2022. So far I haven't received any Interview Notices and my status on my uscis is still at "Finger Prints Taken".

My wife is currently in Japan and is planning on doing FTJ after I complete my AOS. I added that in my cover letter hoping they would expedite the interview.

I sent out a congressional inquiry, explaining the case with the FTJ and requesting an expedited email around 3 weeks ago and they still haven't received an update.

Last night I received an email from KCC:
"KCC has received payment of $330.00 for your case file. You have a case size of 2. Please send the remaining payment or provide a written statement, via email, to KCCDV@state.gov explaining why the additional family member(s) will not be adjusting their status. Please include PA Name, Case number, and Date of Birth (MMDDYYYY) with your correspondence."

I did include in the DS-260 and cover letter that my derivative is doing FTJ. I will email them back today with the requested information.

Questions:

1) Does that mean that an officer is reviewing my case?
2) Should I just email them back? There is a "Support Contractor number" in the email, should I call that or the USCIC number to follow up? Any tips on how to get a quick response?

1. This happens after the IO contacts the KCC to request the KCC file, so yes.
2. See line 55 on the "AOS FAQs" section of the AOS Process Spreadsheet.

Quick question: does anyone have experience with using mobile apps for tracking case progress? I see quite a few in the app store with many (even, too many) positive reviews, but I'm slightly concerned about privacy. Can access to case status data can be misused by a third-party? Can they provide any additional info (that USCIS account does not show)? Thank you.

I use casetracker, and no. Your number is numerical, I can check anyones case number online it goes up by 1… try it, go to ceac and enter your number, change the last number to 1 above or below and thats another case.

They’re just pulling data from what’s already available to everyone, with case tracker you just add your case number that’s it. Has no personal data. “

The Application is not affiliated with USCIS, however obtains its data from https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do, which contains public information that may be distributed or copied. Please refer to the USCIS Website Policy here: https://www.uscis.gov/website-policies

Not something I personally would use or recommend, based on precisely what you noted in your post - privacy concerns. I wouldn't provide such information to some 3rd for some update I can already obtain directly from the USCIS website myself. The apps are not USCIS sanctioned or approved, they pull their information directly from the USCIS account. The cannot provide any additional information outside of what is available by directly checking from the USCIS website.

Thank you both, @Ckb and @Sm1smom
I realized that I was doing it all wrong because every time I've been logging into my USCIC account, which for some reason required me to enter one-time verification number two times and that was quite annoying, hence I asked. The link above provides exactly the same info without even the need to log in, so I'm happy now :) I checked and, indeed, could see other cases' statuses.

Is there anything we can do to get USCIS case status updated? My status still shows fingerprint fee received. No update since I then.

Your case will most likely be approved without an interview (assuming you properly front loaded your AOS package) going by the recent trend/approval reports from fellow San Antonio, TX AOSers. So I would say give it about two more weeks for now, you should hopefully have an update by then.
My office is SA too, and it is quite interesting to see in the excel sheet that almost half of waives belong to those whose FO is SA. I wonder if the decision is up to the FO or upper levels of USCIS?

Hello there,
In the lists of requirement for interview, USCIS ask me to bring I-693 form with seal envelope which I sent with AOS package. As the interview, should I ask for the same exam result with the medication office? Or should I take a new I-693 examination?

Each FO makes the determination as to if the interview should be waived or not.

p.s. are you listed on the spreadsheet yourself?

It’s probably a generic request if you already included the medical report with your AOS package. Do plan on taking your copy of the report along though.

thanks for the heads up, i requested to edit and waiting for permission.
@Sm1smom How about adding a one-liner at the very top of the spreadsheet asking for and explaining the process of getting access? Right now it has a long disclaimer, which people likely ignore. something simple like "found helpful - help too!" and a small visual on how to (see below; not everyone had experience with Google Docs).

Thanks for the suggestion. The “long disclaimer” is necessary and has been quite useful in maintaining the spreadsheet as is - the few folks who ignored it have learnt the hard way. Users eventually figure out how to request access one way or the other. Without that long warning, almost every one will be adding filters and modifying the view to meet their personal need.
