DV 2022 AOS (Adjustment of Status) Only

My green card has arrived!!!

I am so grateful to everyone who posts on this forum. The amount of value on this forum is immeasurable! I honestly do not think I could have done this from start to finish without the help of everyone here. While I did not interact much 1 on 1 with anyone other than @leolandivar , I am highly grateful for @Sm1smom , @SusieQQQ , @Blade_ , among others whose posts have been instrumental in me understanding the process and being successful in this endeavor!

Biometrics Appointment
The process was straightforward. I would recommend arriving 15-30 minutes before the appointment is scheduled. Also, ensure you have an acceptable form of ID (the list of acceptable forms of ID is on USCIS's website). The entire biometrics appointment from entering the ASC to leaving the center took 1 hour.

Field Office Interview
Regarding the interview, I arrived 45 minutes before my appointment was scheduled. I entered the Field Office 30 minutes prior to my scheduled appointment time. I then went through security, took a seat, and was promptly called to interview. The interview lasted 20 minutes and began with an oath. I presented a form of ID, took a picture, and gave my fingerprints. The next step was going over my entire application from start to finish, and a copy of my $330 DV Fee was requested. Therefore, I'd say come to the interview with literally everything you put in your I-485 package. Immediately after the interview when I entered my vehicle, I checked my case status and it showed, "New Card Is Being Produced."

Congratulations

Hi all, Yesterday I went to a biometrics appointment. When I gave my fingerprints, some of my fingers had become yellow color instead of green.
Officer tried a few times but still, some fingers were yellow. I am wondering if it affects our case? Thank you

That sometimes happens. They will contact you if they’re unable to use the prints as captured to run your background check.

Hi, I have my master and BA degrees with certified translation but I don't have my high school diploma certified translation with me now. Is it required even if I have a master degree?

Don't worry about not receiving an IL directed to you, they sometimes send out just one IL (without listing the names of the derivatives on it). Attend the interview together with your wife as scheduled. You should be fine.
Thank you for your reply. I feel more confident now.
Hope everything will be ok.

I had my interview on May 10 - still no update and my case has been stuck on “Fingerprint Fee Received” since I submitted it in March. IO said that my case was all good (I would receive a letter in ~2 weeks) and she just needed to get my official records before I get my card. Whenever I call USCIS about any updates they deny my interview has even been scheduled! I have no idea what to do now - my EAD expires at end of this month so I’m getting very worried.

It's only been 15 business days (31st being a holiday). Hopefully comes next week.

It seems to me like you’re basically looking for affirmation over something you’ve already decided to do. Considering you’ve known of your selection and have been following this thread (in addition to making the decision to process AOS) over a year ago, how is it you’re just asking about if you need a certified translated HS diploma if you already have a master’s degree and your certified translated BA degree? I think you should just follow your instincts at this point

There really isn’t much you can do at this point except to remain patient and hopefully. Your current wait for an approval is not unusual. The frontline reps responding to calls are not able to see anything about having completed your interview or even being scheduled because your FO has not updated your online status to reflect that, which is not unusual for DV based AOS cases. You can save your time and yourself from what could be considered an unsettling or aggravating response by not calling them again for a status update for a while.

Thank you very much

Because you mentioned in previous posts that some FOs insist to check the HS diploma even the applicants have higher degree. I prepared all the documents except this one because even when I got admission from a school in the US, they didn’t ask for HS certified. I assumed when you already have BA and Master degrees, you don’t need that while in spread sheet it’s said it’s required.

Hi! I am current in June (OC23xx) and waiting on my DV payment receipt delivered 5/11 (just received an email reply from KCC saying it was sent yesterday after following up on 4/23).

I live in Los Angeles but was wondering if I could put my physical address in Orlando, FL where I have family and will be able to travel to for bio/interviews (LA seems to be slow in some areas and I read the backlog issues from a recent interview experience in LA, Orlando also has a high interview waived rate).
1. Would it be ok to put my physical address in Orlando to select that FO even though I'm not registered at the address at all?
2. Would it be better to put both mailing & physical address in Orlando - I read they sometimes use mailing for FO or is that rare?
3. Additionally, I have submitted my DS260 with my LA address, would I have to unlock that or is it ok considering I'm AOS?

I had listed my physical address and mailing address in two different states on my I-485 form. My bio appointment is scheduled in the state of my mailing address. Since we can try to give biometrics in any ASC, If I give my biometrics in the state of my physical address, will my interview appointment be scheduled in the state of my physical address?

So how does asking again change the answers you saw before?
This is USCIS confirming that the person meets the DV requirements (high school diploma), not a college.

My DV payment was also cashed on 5/11 so thanks for sharing that KCC sent it yesterday. Hopefully we get it soon

So if you already saw a previous response, why are you asking again? Your above post just confirmed what I previously wrote: you wanted an affirmation on something you already decided to do. So just follow your instincts like I already answered.

1. First of all, that would be a lie, and that is the last thing you’ll want to do when it comes to immigration. You’re not physically based in Orlando, you shouldn’t be listing it as your physical location. The information you provide on the forms will be used for conducting your background check. List your physical address based on where you’re physically located.
2. See response to 1 above.
3. No point in my trying to answer this.
