DV 2022 AOS (Adjustment of Status) Only

Hello everyone:

We have done our interview Yesterday. We are a family of four. For those who like to hear the details:

We did a walk-in Bio and after 10 days we got the interview notice which was scheduled 3 weeks from the notice. Yesterday, we arrived 45 minutes earlier, but there was a note at the door that " do not enter more than 15 minutes before your appointment ", so went back 17 minutes earlier and it was kind of crowded with people waiting outside the facility until it became exactly 15 minutes just before the time of the appointment ( it seems that everyone had the same time of the appointment with different cases) then doors were opened, we went over security checks, then registered our names and went to the waiting room and waited for about 40 minutes. A super nice lady called our names and went inside her office, we stood up and swore an oath. Then she clearly said: I will go over the applications and make the necessary changes if any, we went over the applications and asked about all details (quick and efficient), and in the end, we had two changes were made on the applications. the interview took about 45 minutes. Then she gave us a piece of paper says your case will be reviewed and she said I can not approve your case right now, until we get your background check and if things are okay then will be noticed by mail, if something went wrong we may ask for more details and may schedule for another interview. I asked her how long this will take? she said I am not sure but the GC may take a month or two if things went well. I asked whether I will see the changes on the USCIS account, and she said yes. Then we left home , once we got home I checked the online account and found "New card is being produced", weird!

- She did not ask for any document but the DV winner paper, ID (driving licenses), and passports.
- It was a relaxing and smooth interview, went over the application and Yes/No questions quickly and smoothly.
- I do not understand the background checks time and then I found that "New card is being produced". (confusing)

Finally, thanks again to @SusieQQQ who found me " hanging around " on another website and guided me to this forum :) and to the super @Sm1smom for her thorough knowledge and experience in this matter and to everyone who shared experience, helped, asked, or answered questions and concerns.

I hope all the best to everyone. It is quicker than you expect... Stay tuned.
CONGRATULATIONS @Adam ! Could you please let me known how did you take walk in appointment for Biometric as i already got the receipt notice from USCIS on 12 may so i was wandering is it possible to take biometric appointment by ourself or we have to wait for USCIS to send biometric appointment notice by mail.

You need a bio notice to do a walk-in too, it has the details they need on it to connect your bio to your case.

I was searching old threads to see if anyone had done an early walk in for their bio appointment at my local ASC. The page I was on there were a few comments that mentioned a code on the bio notice.

I googled what the codes meant but, are there any +/- between the codes, does It have any impact on your application whether you have code 1/2/3 or 5 as a few said they had?

Hello guys,
I'm about to send my AOS package by USPS and have a question
USCIS Chicago Lockbox

USCIS
Attn: AOS
P.O. Box 805887
Chicago, IL 60680
should I mention anywhere on package (outside) that this is DV based AOS ?

in most cases, the code should be 3, which means that they both collect the fingerprints for FBI check and also for the actual GC.
It was reported somewhere else in this forum as well

I was waiting for our interview letters because my account says "interview was scheduled." I checked my USPS Informed Delivery account and now I'm so confused. It shows that we will get three letters tomorrow. My husband's and mine were from NBC, and the other one was from our field office (my daughters) All of them shouldn't have come from the field office, right?

I wouldn't worry about this. I got 2, one from the NBC, one from the field office. You might get 3 more at some point!

You really enjoy stressing, it seems. Your informed delivery shows three envelopes coming soon, you’re already stressing over what the outside of those envelopes shows as against waiting for them to arrive and actually seeing what the envelopes contain.

@Sm1smom Hi, it has been a month seen senator contacted USCIS and didn't hear anything back on my case which was filed on OCT 2021, i call their office and they said we would wait more and there may be other options but it will not be necessary. So now im wondering about what other options are available ?

Thanks! Is there any way to check if we are actually stuck in administrative processing and it's not something else? Can we ask Emma about this?
I hope it works out well in the end!
I talked to a live agent on Emma, but the representative said the case is still processing and they do not have that (background check) information. I guess we just need to wait.

That is rather interesting. It is unusual for USCIS to not respond to a congressional inquiry. Which is FO has jurisdiction over your case and which Senator did you contact? I have no idea what other option they may be referring to.

That kind of worry was silly, you're right :) But sometimes I can't help. In the end, the letters arrived. The date of our interview is June 27. I hope that everything works out. I made changes to my part of the spreadsheet.

Interview experience, LA FO. We were scheduled for 8:15 AM, arrived 20 minutes earlier and there was a HUGE line outside already. Officers working the entrance screening station started redirecting people with appointment letters into separate line at about 8:10. We checked in and were sent to the separate waiting room, 15-20 minutes later officer showed up to guide us to his room. Interview took 20-30 minutes all together, nothing difficult or challenging (no gotcha! questions or situations). The reply was pretty alarming though, "I will review the case and order cards for you in a month or so, if you don't hear from us in 120 days, you can use USCIS website" and lots of remarks about caseload and how it takes time to review everything. So, I guess just more waiting

Hi all,
My and my husband's status has changed to "Interview Was Scheduled" on my USCIS account, but our daughter's status remains unchanged: "Fingerprints Were Taken," according to the her account. My daughter's situation does not concern me. Because, as I learnt from the forum, it could all happen. But I can't find out when our interview is planned. We have yet to receive any messages from USCIS. Will I find out the date when they send me an email? We checked and there are no upcoming mails to our address in the next two days.
Wait. How do you check your status? is there a way to create an account on USCIS to check?
