It is safe to send the passport to NYC for PCC.
I did last week. I sent it through USPS priorty mail ($13.65). They stamped the pp and returned it next day through Priority mail.

Hope you piad $20+ mailing fee when you applied.
They will return the PP through the mail category you selected while applying(priority....). No need to send any return instructions.

My AOR date is 13th Aug 2004 and on 13th April I've got the same letter which you've received. No words from buffalo after that...... :mad:

Hi,

Thanks for the response. I received my IA last week. It was approved on 04/28/05. Well, here are my milestones:

App Sent: 08/2004
AOR: 10/2004
IA: 04/2005 (Interview Waived)
Medical: 05/2005
PCC Applied: 05/2005

received passport request

I received passport request today. I had done my medical on March 2nd. Could have done it month and half earlier, but just wanted to slow down the process. The entire process was fast and smooth compared to US GC. I am planning to land sometime later this year.

I am not sure about the dates. How can u find out? My medical was done on March 2nd, so I am assuming it would have reached Ottawa a week or so later. The passport request letter is dated May 2nd.

Hi.. can any one please tell me about the pcc.our passports have never been renewed in US.where should i get pcc from indian consulate in houston or from IndiA.

You can request this at any indian consulate. Please find the link below for the PCC form. You need to pay $20 while submitting the form and a copy of your current and all old passports.

Abt the name change

I have changed my lastname A after my marriage in my pass[port to B .But the observation was inside,so they have taken my previous lastname A on my medicals.We asked our firm abt the lastname they told us that the immigration guys will consider only back of the passport which is A.


Now my concern is for FBI finger printing

should i mention A as my lastname in FBI as in my medicals? or B?

can i give my other lastname in aliases?

can someone please answer.

Any idea, what is the next step. And if it is PPR, how long I need to wait.

When did your status changed to Medical Results received?

Mine changed this morning to "Medical Results Received".

Waiting for Passport request. I guess it should take couple of weeks.

Mine changed this morning (5/16). I was going thru old post (about 1 year old) in this Forum, they were talking about the status showing "Decision is made" before PPR. Not sure about this as I didn't read about such a status in the recent past.

Does your online 'PR Application Status' show 'IN PROGRESS' or something else.
