No interview required at this point. scored 77 points(my assumption).
Medical to be completed in 60 days.
Other docs to be sent within 90days. Such as
updated FBI cert ,Birth certs,Marriage cert,Education certs, Bank statements, Updated Certififed true copies of Detailed emp letters (with roles, responsibilies,past ,Current ),Latest Paystubs, current status in US(H1 etc), Proficency in English/french launguage by language assessment test or proof of english as meduim of training of the education, & ROLF.

IA received !

Thanks to all members of this forum for their support and answers to my questions.

I received my IA with an intervie waiver. The Docs requested are as follows:
Employment Letter
W2 + Paystubs
Bank Statement
FBI Certificate
Birth Cirtificate of my relative in Canada

as well as medical.

The letter did not mention against how many points was my application assessed against nor did it mention about the # of points I received.

Have any member done Medical in DC-MD-VA area? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I did my medical today. I actually move to North carolina in March so i did it in Chapel Hill.

I am sure if you call up the doc's in the list you should be able to get an appointment for next week.

I got my initial assessment. Asked us to come for interview in Detroit. Has anybody attended interview in Detroit? How long does it take for the interview? What is the processing time in Detroit? Will appreciate for the feedback.

Applied: june 26, 2002
Initial assesment: Oct 17, 2003. Interview.

Please let me know where I can find info on the interviews in Detroit.

I live in DC-MD-VA area, and I am going to do it in the end of November, you can call all the doctor near to you and find out the rates, believe me it varies from Doctor to Doctor, cheapest one I found in Gaithersburg, MD in DC-MD-VA area but this rate is just double of what my friend paid in LA

seems like we need a thread for Medical rates :(

I got the appontment for Monday at Gaithersburg. They asked me to get 2 passport size pictures, passport, ID, Med forms and they do not accept Credit cards. :)

You are right, the medical fees are different in different areas. I live in bay area, where those doctors gave quote of 400$ per person...then I went to LA and got it done in 195$ per person
So, It maybe worth to shop around

Passport without stamp

Hi

We sent our passport for stamping, they just return the passport without any stamping or letter ... but they did not return our photos what does it mean.. Any idea pls
 
I have the appontment for Wednesday in Atlanta. They asked me to get 3 passport size pictures, passport, Med forms.
They are charging 360$ per person.

This is not good, seems like this whole canada immigration is a process of milking money, wrorst then that they even dont take credit cards :( :mad:

I went in 1999 to a facility close to downtown (on peachtree st) i believe. If i am not mistaken I paid 200$ using credit card.
 
what do the doctors check

Hi,

I am just wondering what the doctors check for the medical. Do they do TB test which will take a few days? Blood work? Any shots?

Guys with experience please reply.
 
Yeah I also want to know what medical tests are done.

Are they done on the same day.
Since I have to drive 8hrs and taking leave from office, wondering how many leaves I need to take?

Guys,
I am quite certain that in Canada, you have to pay less than $ 500 Canadian to get medicals done for 2 people. At least we paid around that much.
So if you have a family of more than 2,it makes sense to cross the border and get the medicals done in Canada (if you live close enough). 'Cos from what I read, the charges in US are way too high.

I have applied in August 2001 ,
received medical in Sep 2002,
May /june 2003 receievd a letter for
the updated forms+pay stub
July 2003 - I submitted all info/documents
After that ,No news -- it 'smore than two yrs now..
Any similer cases ?
