Hi,

Any one ever received a receipt after submitting the ROLF (now may be called RPRF)? I submitted mine in Jan 03, and nothing has been recevied so far?? Please ...............

yes fizalk, both of us have the same case, I too just received a letter telling me that my file has been transferred to LA to expedite my application... I applied April,2002.


let me know if you hear anything from them... i hope it will really speed up the process...

I have applied around end of Feb 2002 and received file number in July 2002.
But havent heard any updates yet.

online tracking shows file status as "In Process".

I had a address change and site shows my new address. Does that mean they have updated my record?
Also I have notified post office ,with my forwarding address.

can you please tell how you changed your address ?? Also, approx how long it took them to change address in their website ??

I faxed them about my change of address but they haven't changed it yet. its been 2 weeks now.

Address finally updated!

After 8 months my new address has finally been updated.... Just checked the online status. Of course my street name has been spelled incorrectly. So will have to fax the consulate once again.

I faxed them my new mailing address 3 months back. They have not updated it yet. Looks like they are working on address changes that were submitted 8 months back, so we will have to wait a little longer. I am sure that will not be hard for us.

Now that they are mailing files to other consulates, hope they do not lose our stuff en route.

I had faxed address change form in early Feb 2003. Now that I can check the status online , I see it got reflected there. I dont know , exactly when did they change my address.

how long down it takes for Canadian processing

Dear Gurus of this forum. I have applied fo canadian immigration in Jan 2003. What is the normal processing time!!

if you applied in Buffalo, you might finish the process approximately 2 yrs...

you might receive your File Number by june... keep us posted for any update...

already received the file #

i have already received the file id # , receipt # and user id.

This was sent to me within one month of sending the papers !!

So I was wondering if the processing is moving ahead.

Also, how can I check my status online !!
 
They are sending file# now for people that applied in March 2003.I guess the number of applicants has dropped because of the more stringent pass marks.But the second stage hasn't speeded up because of the backlogs

I have checked my application status online and it says in process.
I applied in 02/02. and the status is updated in 05/03
 
any passport stamping/landing papers

anyone received passport stamping/landing papers request in may...i did medical in feb....can anyone tell..how long it takes to get next step letter/documents....

I sent my application form on Apr ,2003. How much does it take to recieve file number?

I read in one of the posting that someone did not recieve file number even after 1 1/2 year of sending application. Is there a way to talk to someone to verify if my application form has recieved by Buffalo office?

Hi JALMA,
no they didn't tell me to wait for six months. initial assessment letter said..your interview is waived, submit the police clearance certificate, submit the RPRF ( I didn't pay those in beginning.) and do the medicals within 3 months of receiving this letter. I received the letter in the end of jan'03. So, I finished medical end of feb.
One of my friend got the same 6 months waiting period letter.

You should expect to receive your landing paper in June or july as it takes about 3-5 months for them to send landing paper once everything is fine with your medical and background check.
