Hi Jalma,

I too have not received a receipt for the ROLF. Mailed the fee mid May. From other forums I have gathered that people are not getting receipts.

Wonder why?????

Looks like they never confirm receipt of anything. no receipt for documents received, medical received, RPRF received....you just keep waiting...I think immigrating to their country is a big business. just keep getting cashier checks/money order.

You are so right. A very frustrating process. Getting extremely tired of the waiting and the not knowing!!!!! This time I got the money order from the post office so cannot check if they have been cashed.

Hopefully all will end well for us all!

Try filling in ONLY the required fields. Do not fill in First name. That worked fine for me.

NEED TO SEND form IMM008

Hi,

I applied to buffalo in oct 2001 got medical letter in nov 2002 , medical done in may 2003 ..last week i got letter with attached IMM008 form stating that all my processing is stopped until i send the form back. Is anyone also got to resend the forms. I am going thru the form and it is new format than that i sent it 2 yrs back. there is one section about previous jobs and column NOC. what to be filled in this column for current job?

I heard some guys have been required to refill the new forms IMM008, the reason is probably new regulation.

I guess you need an interview, right? New IMM008 is according to new regulations, so new forms are going to be used to evaluate your case again. Gees, dame it CIC!

Is your interview approaching?
I am waiting for my interview also, can you please let me konw your time-line?
 
i didn't hear anything about interview. i just got letter last week stating that i need to fill out these forms and send back.
did u also send new forms. What did u fill for NOC for current employer?

It really doesn't make sense to let you refill the new forms if you
do not need an interview. My friends need to refill IMM008 before interview cause his interview is after March 31st for sure, that's all I know.
 
New to this thread - Need some basic Info

I am just starting to apply for Canadian PR under skilled worker category. Would really appreciate if you could advice me on some basic queries that I have:

1. How long does it take for the entire PR process to complete? Is there any expediated processing available?

2. Do I need an attorney's expertise or is the process simple enough for me to handle?

3. If I do need an attorney, can anyone recommend a good one (preferably in the San Francisco bay area.)

Never go to kam international at kaminternational.com. They are just fraud.

Its easy to handle by your own. The entire process is taking about 11/2 - 2 years.

I guess from MAy 1, only US residents can apply for canadian permanent residency in buffalo, all others have to go to there home country to apply. Is this true.
 
Hi Rubs,

Never heard of asking anyone to fill any form after the medical. Did'nt you fill up your previous jobs in the old forms. Was there a gap in between your employment that you did not mention. That may be the reason i can think of.

What do you mean by NOC?

Don't worry just fill that form and wait for your landing papers.

Hi, Did canada stop approving gc or slowed down the process considerably. I applied in Apr/2002 and got receipt sometime in Aug after I faxed them. Now agains I see no movement in approvals. I checked the online ckecker and it says processing started end of July !

They claim to process in 1 year. Is this starting from this date Jul29 or when I applied Apr 15 ?

Any idea when I may get the evaluation done ? I heard Feb is going on now ?

Those of you who have applied on/or after April 2003,did any of you recieve file number. I applied on April 10th, till now I did not recieve any file number. Some of the folks have been recieving file number within a month.
Is there a number to contact to know the status of the application.

Finally Got It!

I finallly got passport request for visa stamping from Buffalo. I am Pakistani living in US since 1996 in B/F/B visa categories. Here is my timeline:

Apllied: 11/01
AOR: 12/01
Initial Assessment: 12/02 interview waiver
Medicals: 04/03
Passport Request: 06/03 in 6 six weeks.
Other things pending.
