I am but not very actively. I am also waiting for good news. My family & myself went through medical in Oct, 02 & hope I will be asked to send Passports. Lets see what happens. I will update every one on getting any news.

This is the first time I am posting a message here though I have
been a silent viewer for quite a few months. Please add my info to the tracker as my case has been extended unusually long.

Date Application received: 7/23/01
Date processing started: 10/16/01
Medical forms received: 5/18/02, plus bank statement requirement and updated experience letter
Medical forms reached the office in Canada: 7/15/02

I have not heard of anything since then. Since 11/02, I have sent three inquiry faxes to the Buffalo office, but no use.

Current online status message: In Process

Can someone tell me what might go wrong and how can I check my status from the Buffalo office?

From which country are you. Did you get any letter from CIC regarding background checking. Only reason for so much delay could be your background checking being going on. I gave medical in Sep 2002 and in Jan I got a letter from CIC buffalo that my background checking is going on and they expect that it may take 6 to 9 months. I hope that soon you will receive some good news from buffalo.

hi, everyone:

thank you so much for responding to my posting. i applied from
the U.S. and i am a citizen of China.

Since i mailed out my medical forms in May 2002, which they received on July 15, 2002, i have not received anything from them, not the background checking, not updated documents, etc.
i really don't know what is going on with my file. did they lost it?

my friend who has the same filing progress with me got her approval notice back in Sept. 2002, two months after her medical forms reached the designated office.

can anyone analyze this for me?

Hi Guys!

Here is my case. I have applied in Jan 2002 and have recently got a mail from CIC in which they sent me some new forms. I have some question if anyone can put some light on??
1) Are these new appln form same as the ones before or r they expecting some more details. I havent seen the forms yet.
2) Also I have come across a comapny who is ready to give me a letter of employement but I have some querries. Is it necessary for it to be approved by HRD in Canada and should it be in the category in which I had applied or can it be any job offer??
3) I am recently in India for around 6 or more months but applied in Buffalo. Can I give them a letter saying that I had come here on vacation keeping my address for corrs same in US?? Will that create any complication?? Will I need any Criminal clearance from India in case I stay for 6 months or more in India??

Any suggestions would be apprecited !!
