Received a letter from Canadian Consulate General today, requesting 3 recent photos for each of the applicants. I had already submitted that at the time of initial application and they were as per the specs mentioned on their site.

Wondering why they have asked for it at this step when they have already waived off my interview months back. Anyone has any ideas or did anyone else get such a letter ??
 
may be they are asking for your PR CARD :)

is your medicals done or not .or your waiting for medical papers

if u havent received medical papers yet , they might be asking you, to attach those pic on your medical forms

Well I would say that so far the things are moving, you should not worry. I have heard that since these days case finalization taking too much time thus they want the last and latest data from the applicants in every aspect.
You must go ahead and do not worry.... Keep Posting of your case.

My medicals were done in april/may and ROLF and other additional docs requested were sent in June. Now when I was expecting them to send the landing docs, they ask for new pics. Well I would be sending the new pics today.

Lets see what they ask for next...........We are planning to go to India in Nov end and am worried as to what will I do if they ask for our passports during that time:(

I was just talking to one of my friend at Toronto. He has the very fresh PR, I know of, just landed on last saturday morning.
In his case also, he was asked to send photographs and just over the phone he told me that the same photographs has been used on the landing papers.
So Keep going.... you are right track.

How much time it took for you to get the landing papers , because i am waiting for my landing papers and visa .mu e_status ishowing as 'DecisionMade' .I dont have any idea.

I am still waiting for my landing papers. All the other additional docs (interview waived off), ROLF and medical were done by June. I was hoping to get the landing papers anyday now when I was asked to send recent 3 photos. I sent our photos by FedEx yesterday.
 
Could somebody share their thought that you will not be able to access the e-Status from cic website till the time you do not get any response after the file number like medical/interview info.

what is your e_status is showing as "in process" or "Decision made"
My e_status showing as "decision made" it is almost 3 wek is going on .i havent heard anything . Iread in this forum sometime back , they said it will take 3 months after medical and 2-4 weeks after decision made to get the landing papers
please check ur status and let us know

I have been trying for the last 2 weeks to check the e-status at
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/e-services/index.html but everytime their is a message on that page that this service is currently unavailable. Though when I checked my status a month back, it showed my case status as "In Process".

Has anyone been able to check their e- status in the last 2 weeks?? Please let us know............

I know , But, we all r in the same boat. I haven't heard anything yet. I believe that our file no. receipt dates are almost same, but our original application sent date is having big diff. of about 10 days. So, I believe that there may be more cases before our case. And, that is why it may be taking longer. Still, I am positive to receive my status within next 2-3 business days.

I will update you guys as soon as I will receive the results.

About e-status check

Hi pkapur,

I could also not check my status on e-status thing. and i have also not received any update on mycase.
My app date 10/26/2001 and AOR 12/04/2001

I've stopped looking forward to anything anymore... it's gonna come when it has to....just FYI, my e-status shows as "In Process" since ages.

CAIPS notes take time to come in I believe (like a few weeks I heard)...may not be really useful if that's true. But if you have an interview lined up, then it's a good lead.

anyway, just by the way, any of you folks from Southern California side ?
