Ginnu,

Thanks for your reply. Also couldnt wait so I called FBI this morning. They told me that my results were sent to INS the same day. She told me that they sent the results in Electronically. So if the results are sent to INS is that a good thing? Since yesterday I received a 3rd notice requesting to come in for FP on May 11th. I am confused. Also the notices are all coming from Baltimore....

Again Thanks for your reply.

Guys and Gals,
It seems like the next few days are going to be a killer. From the general consensus I should be getting the ID pretty soon hopefully. For an idea of how long it takes I am putting my info for all and just a peice of advice. If you are a family based case and are doing a change of address send an Ar11, send a letter to your current local office and also send a letter to the local office where your new address is going to be. In my case Atl never transfered the file to Baltimore till as a last resort I sent a letter to Baltimore requesting them to have my file pulled from Atl. I sure hope nobody has to go through this misery again.

QCO

ID ??????

I got confused by your above post
please clear the below:

1 it seems your case is family based , is it true?
2 did you ask VSC to Transfer your file to Baltimore MD?
3 what is this address change mess? dont you stay in Baltimore or MD area
4 do you want again Baltimore to transfer your file to other location?
5 "In my case Atl never transfered the file to Baltimore "
what do you mean by Atl? where is your file at present?

Ginnu,

Mine is a family based case. I moved to Baltimore last Nov and had requested a transfer in Nov 03. My file got transfered to Baltimore on Mar 03/29. (2) No I am not requesting anymore transfers now just waiting for the ID. I got my FP notice from Baltimore last month and did it on the 04/22(The notice date was 04/07). Hope that clears the confusion. My advice was for people who are doing a change of address for out of state to send a letter to both local office even though the lawyer just sends it to the office your file is in my case Atl before the transfer. My file is at Baltimore now. Hope that clears the confusion. Any predictions on when and how long before I receive the ID ??? Hope u have a good weekend.

Thanks,

QCO

Ginnu,

Should I not have received the Interview date by now? My case transfered to Baltimore on the 29th of March and on the 7th of April they sent me a request to get my fingerprinting done.

Thanks,

QCO

Baltimore local USCIS office is the best, nothing wrong if you still did not receive Interview notice, you may be getting in 15-20 days. Relax!! FYI I know about a case that is transferred to Baltimore from VSC in Feb10, 2004, the person got fingerprinting notice from Baltimore in March second week. He still has not received interview date notice. It is normal with your case.

Ginnu,

I guess I am confused. The info that I had gotten from my lawyer was that Baltimore considers my case date to be Mar 29th/04. But from the forum it seems that Baltimore is considering your case once the FP notice has been issued from Baltimore. I hope thats true......Like I said in my earlier post "The next few days are going to be a killer"... I guess with light at the end of the tunnel the wait seems more unbearable and it doesnt seem true that hopefully this whole thing is coming to an end. I guess in my case it is imperative to get the approval and stamp by Aug hopefully since my wife starts her project in the carribeans in Aug and I had plans on joining her and working from there with her and my kids. Thanks for the info. Hope you have a good weekend.

Ginnu,

Did that other guy/gal ever received their Interview notice? Still nothing on my end either. I am also confused since today I received a response from a senator who I had contacted abt a month ago that the Baltimore Office received an electronic copy of my app on the 29th. Does that mean they will wait to schedule till the receive a physical copy or an electronic will do from Atl. Thanks for all ur support. Hope you have a good day.

Guys and Gals,

I got another notice from Baltimore to go have my Medical done. My confusion is I got my Medical done from Atlanta before the transfer. Do I need to get it done again or should I just have the ATlanta Dr forward another copy. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

QCO

Guys/Gals,

Sorry for the barrage of questions. I spoke to the Dr who did my Medical last year and he told me for $40.00 he would send another copy for USCIS. Now my concern is that does Baltimore require a medical from a local Dr or the one from Atlanta would do. He is also a registered civil surgeon with USCIS. Also do medicals expire in a year. Since the date on my last medical was 04/02 and I am concerned whether Baltimore sent me a notice because it has expired or because they need a local Dr to do it.

Thanks In Advance,

QCO

Guys/Gals,

----- Then send that
Now my concern is that does Baltimore require a medical from a local Dr or the one from Atlanta would do.
---Atlanta would do
He is also a registered civil surgeon with USCIS.
---- that will work
Also do medicals expire in a year.
----NO
Since the date on my last medical was 04/02 and I am concerned whether Baltimore sent me a notice because it has expired or because they need a local Dr to do it.
---- I think they found your medical result envelope missing with your file. due to transfer that may be lost and USCIS is expert in lossing files, papers, writing wrong names on EAD, AP or incorrect Spellings of the names.

Ginnu,

Do they require my medical to issue AD? Or can I just carry it in. Once again thanks for all the help that you have provided. Hope you have a good weekend.

Best regards,

QCO.....

Do they require my medical to issue AD?
---What do you mean by AD? EAD or AP? If you mean EAD or AP that is approved on pending I-485.
Medicals and fingerprint clearance are required before approval of I-485.

Or can I just carry it in. Once again thanks for all the help that you have provided. Hope you have a good weekend.

Ginnu,

Sorry I meant for my Interview date for the I-485 approval. I guess the question again is that is medical required prior to the issuance of an interview date.

Thanks,

QCO....

1. Medicals are to be submited before I-485 approval, if they have asked you to provide Medicals before I-485 interview then provide the medicals before that. if they have asked to bring Medicals at the time of Interview then take medical with you when you go for Interview. It depends on particular service center if they need medicals before they send Interview notice or to bring at the time of Interview.

Went to Baltimore today, got approved and stamped. Very nice lady (officer D) interviewed me first. Then my wife and son. All process took about 1.5 hours (7.45 - 10.15). But I was called may be 15 min later than the schedule.

Questions were pretty standard. I took the oath, did fingerprints. She checked all the passports, visas, birth and marriage certificates. She was interested mainly in my tax returns, W-2 and employment letter. I took with me two copies of employment letter for my wife's and son's files. But did bring only single copy of tax returns. She made extra copies herself.

She made me to sign two affidevits of support for my wife (she does not work) and for my son. I prepared the forms yesterday.

She took away I-94 forms.

When she got into my wife's file, it appeared that a doctor who made the medical exam put in the envelope not the original but a copy of supplement form (vaccination) and did not put a mark by the part that says "Vaccine history complete for each vaccine, all requirements met". So the officer said that I have to mail her the original (I went back to the doctor's office, got the supplement form filled again, and mailed it today). It is good that after about 2 years they are still there. But there was no approval for my wife's case today.

So, it is little bitterness because of that, but we shall overcome ...
Myself and my son got stamped and the officer gave me two approval notices.

What the officer did not ask for:
1. Any information about the I-140 petition. She only asked which society I am member of, and I told her that it's American Association of Cancer Research (I think the essence of the question was more political than scientific).
2. Work permits (still have them)
3. Newer photos (wasted another 15$)

Good luck to all.

I-140 (EB1-A) ND 4-24-02
RFE 7-31-03
AD 11-6-03

I-485 (concurrent) ND 8-19-02
AD 5-18-04

Congratulation AlexK !!!
Do you know what was the reason for file transfer to Baltimore or interview???

Thanks for the greetings.

I do not see any reason for myself being interviewed.

I think that usual logic is that any transfer to a local office must be followed by an interview.

On the other hand, I believe that my file was transferred to Baltimore because I changed my residence address. This may not be true, but another reason could be that my fingerprints got expired. Or that was the rare thing called "luck".
I do not exactly know why. At least, they did not give me a hint during the interview. On the other side, my and my family interview lasted about 2-3 times longer than average (more than 1 hour instead of 20-30 min).
