APRIL-revalidation applicants tracking

Some of the reasons for visa rejection

1 rejection of photo
2 not sending correct fee $100+75 (for Indians)
3 on forms incorrect info
4 not including DS-157 (Male between 16-45), not writing your name column 3 in your native language
5 employer letter missing
6 not attaching copy of I-94
7 not attaching current valid H1extention/transfer approval from BCIS
8 passport may be expiring
9 having valid visa more than 60 days when you mail the package
10, applying for Visa sticker after 1 year expiry of old Visa sticker

If they ask you to send it to DC on diffrent address then one can recieve PP back in 5-10 days

"I did not write my name in native language...
did anyone got rejected becoz of this reason.."

I don’t know what will happen to your Visa if you have not written name in Native alphabet, If you look at DS-157 it just needs your info if you have any special training, your educational background and what countries you visited and affiliation to any groups. They look for your background just to check if you are not a person for security risk. I personally feel that they look for the native alphabet if it is in Urdu, Arabic others should not matter, but nobody knows if they will approve the Visa with this mistake. And you are not allowed to send supplementary info to be attached with your papers.

Please read:
http://travel.state.gov/revals.html
“Applicants whose native language is not written in the English alphabet should print their names in their native language in item 3 of the DS-157”

“All required documentation must be submitted with the visa application. The Visa Office is unable to accept supplementary mailings from applicants who forgot to include some or all of the required documentation or other information.”

Try to post your question to other threads as new post you may get some answer or if your file reached DC try to speak with officer (keep your passport # with you when you speak) and tell your problem before they touch your file and ask for the remedy, if get any answer please post here for the benefit of others.
Good Luck!!

processing time of withdrawal

Did anyone submit withdrawal requests of visa revalidation recently and got his/her passport back? I called the DC visa office and was informed that it may take 1 to 2.5 weeks now to process withdrawal requests. I would appreciate it if you can tell me how long it took for your withdrawal. Many thanks!

“I got approved visas. Did not write anything in native language”
Do you mean that on Form DS-157 you did not write your name in native language?
Are you Male between 16-45? Male only submits DS-157.

checking status?

How do you check the status of the application? I've sent my app on Apr 18 to SL and I don't know anything anfter that.

thanks

Here is how you can contact visa office.
Somebody posted this before in this thread.

" this is the number to call to DC 202-663 - 1225 with option 1 & 0. Better call them around 8.45 or so then you will be able to connect to a representative."

Did anybody called today? Please post the info if you know.

Hi
I had called up St. Louis today and the visa specialist told me that they are processing end of April DC receive date. My DC receive date is May 12th. She said that I might get it in 2-3 weeks. Thats cutting it awfully close as my tickets are booked for 7th August.
She was unwilling to give any pther info.
