Hi Guys

has anybody called D.C Visa Office today, what is the D.C Processing Date.

looks like they are processing all the march pending cases now

SL SD : 5th, April, 2003
SL RD : 7th, April, 2003
D.C Date: 19th ,April, 2003

This is what it states :
As of mid-April, visa revalidation processing takes approximately 10-12 weeks.

Processing of cases submitted in March 2003 has been completed. These cases were delayed due to a data entry software problem.

The Visa Office adheres to a strict first-received, first processed policy for all visa revalidation applications. The Visa Office is unable to expedite visa re-issuance. If you anticipate urgent travel, please apply for your visa at a U.S. consulate or embassy abroad. If you submitted an application for visa revalidation and learn that you must travel urgently, please see “How do I withdraw a pending revalidation application?” below.

The Visa Office is unable to provide status reports on revalidation applications
 
i called the dc office again today. was on hold for 1 hour.
the "visa specialist" told me my cae was approved today and will be sent out sometime next week.
SL Date: april 8th
DC Date: april 19th
DC Approved: july 9th

Your SL date is prior to 'srini2011'


I am waiting.......... My SL RD is April 9th.

could you please more details? as to till when your current H-1 stamping on ur passport (when you sent for revalidation) was valid?
till when was your I-94 valid?
Did you have your passport valid for more than 6 months as of today?

My H1 B Stamping is Valid till, FEB,2003,
so is has not expired more than one year

when i have sent in april,2003, my visa validity expired 2 months before

I94 is valid till, 0ct,2005

Passport is valid till, aug,2011

so puzzled what could be the reason

"I94 is valid till, 0ct,2005"

even though your visa is expired , your I94 is valid. This could be a possible reason.

Please post the reason .

receive dates?

How did you guys get the receive dates at SL and DC?

I mailed in my revalidation docs on Apr 18. Its 12 th week now and I am curious as to how long this wait would be?

You guys know anyone who has sent their stuff to SL around Apr 18 and got their PP back stamped?

mine may be worse than that:

my visa and I-94 expired sep 27, 2002.

my old passport was valid until sep 27, 2003.

i got my h1 extension this april. it took an year for this new extension to get approved.

You said your visa was until Feb 2003. How did you get I-94 that is valid beyond the visa date? Hmmmm interesting..
 
I am guessing the reason for 'srini_immig' visa rejection is due to new guidelines on photos.

immportuser - I-94 can pass visa validity when a person in US applies for H-1B extension or changes of employer before visa expires.

----Srini may have H1Visa stamp based on past H1 validity till Feb. 2003 and he/she may have H1 transferred or extended that way got the new I-94 with approval notice beyond the Visa sticker date because BCIS does not stamp Visa Sticker it only approves/extends the status( or Deny).
Example: A has got H1 Visa stamped in India and then entered the US got I-94 then he extended H1 or Transferred H1 and got new I-94 with extension or approval notice, in that case he will have different expiry of H1 Visa sticker but will have different date on I-94 that came with Extension/transfer from BCIS

many mix up visa with Approval, Visa is Sticker in passport and H1 extension or Transfer is not visa it is Status approval
 
What is I-94 certified copy???

Does anyone know what certified copy mean? I am worried that I just sent the copy of I-94 for the revalidation purpose.
