Create an account at www.fedex.com. Call the visa officer and request an overnight FedEx using your account number. If they check overnight on the slip, you can get it in a day.

I did it!

I have an account with fedex and i think i did check the 'First priority overnight ' option on the slip. is thery any other fast option?

I am hopping for the best. wish me luck!!

This is really getting worse, now I know that they have approved it but I am not going to get them by 9th July.

Just a doubt ..did you include pay stubs along with the passports for getting visa stamped?
I was just reading another post which says that he got a sorta RFE for pay stubs?
Are pay stubs needed for H-1 visa stamping at St.Louis ??

NO!, i did not include pay stubs along with my application. i really don't think it is required.

if u don't write name in hindi but in english .. will there be any problem ?? has anyone faced problem becoz of this in the past ?

Called DC

Called again DC office to find out my status, still same answer 2 to 3 weeks. Interesting to notice my DC date is same as vsaxena but his PP got stamped.

I think i have to call again .

I called DC office thsi morning and they simply refused to gice the status. I wonder why this sudden change?

Did they give you a reason for being unable to give the status of your application? It is clear from this page of the Dep. of State website that this is the number for 'Inquiries about visa cases'

She was quoting website, where it says that VISA office is unable to provide status reports, and the number of inquiries they are getting.
But the specialist to whom I spoke two days back was help incarnated.
Not only she talked to the concerned person, who had my papers, but she called me back to tell that it will be done in two days.
I believe it varies from person to person...
Just having a bad day:confused: ?

I called again, and this time somebody else picked up the phone and helped me. I was told it has been processed and approved, but not yet printed. Shall be done within a couple of days...!

Not yet. and i have no hope of coming before 9th of july. i guess i have to cancel my tickets.

My visa was approved on 27th June and it has not been printed yet. i called this morning and she told me that it may take 3-4 day to print it and the one more week to mail it out.

what should i do? i don't know.

Please dont swamp the visa officials ..

..with calls guys! unless you are in a very emergency situation like vsaxena ..it will not help us!
If you already know your DC date and if you know what date is getting processed now, pls try to take out your frustration on this forum, instead of on the IIO's :)
