April/May I140 Pending Cases

How does it work?

My LC was submitted to SESA in March 2001.
I had my LC approved in April 2002.(delay dues to LIFE).

currently we have applied for I-140 RD:05/23, ND:05/24

If I have to go for I-485, how should I proceed?
How much time would it require for me to

0. Working authorization for spouse
1. Change employers
2. get the green card
3. any limitations on travel outside USA?

Would you please let us know where these 7 Photos are needed. (As i know, 2 for I485, 2 for I131, 2 for I764, total is 6).

I have birth certificate, but i do not know what is the affidavits for birth certificate. What is it?

Yes, they need 7 photos. take maximum number of photos that needed.
nothing wrong in spending 20$ more in photos.

And..

if your birth was registered on the same year when you were born you don't need affidavit. I think most of us registered and got the birth certificate in 2000 or very recently. look for the registration date on your birth certificate. if the reg. date is not
the year of you were born you must need affidavit.

I140 mine is EB2, RD:4/26... I think in the next slot i will get it. because,
I saw 4/21 and 4/22 got approved.

1) Could you please provide us the format of the affidavit. (I have to get it for myself and my spouse from India. I want to keep it ready before my attorney asks for it... )
2) Do we need to take any documents for Medical Examination/Photographer? ( I thought I can do it before my attorney prepares to file 495 appln..)
 
Checked AVM last night. no progress. same message (90-180 days).
Pls post your update. Any clue why I-140 moves so slow at VSC recently?

EB2, RD4/23, ND4/24.

nothing wrong in sending one more photo. who are you investigating in the number of photos? there are lot other things
to worry about. if you really need to know about the 7th photo, ask your attorney.

I was looking at your list only. I saw in some places, 4/21 was approved. may be i misunderstand.

to photographs nothing,
but to medical exams- take passports, visas with you.

Slow Processing time

Do you folks thing the slow processing time at VSC has something to do with the flood of i245 applications for labor in April 2001 reaching VSC for I140?

Just a thought.
 
That could be very well affect of 245(i). Also another thing I observed that there were so many applications pending for March and looked like they took care of them. And hopefully now they will start with the pending applications of April.

I have these questions when I prepare
filing I-485 for pending I-140,

1. do we need medical report?
2. what fee is for fingerprinting of kids under
age of 14?
