Any LA Transfer cases/Interview dates?

Hi meetme

It so happened that I got my medicals with the letter that an interview is required. They had asked me to wait 7-10 months for the medicals. My lawyer said that I should get the medicals done, as sometimes they process the case faster if they get it. so that's what I did. on may 21st i did my medicals, and since then nothing has happened ever since.

I can get my school to post a letter to CIC, do you think that will get their attention to my case?

LA tracker Update

Fellow LA Forumers,

Received medical forms and ROLF request (Interview waived at this time).

They did not send a Medical form for our 1-year old.
Is this an omission? or Is this correct?

Also, they requested ROLF fees again even though I had paid them at
the time of initial application. Am I supposed to pay the difference
between now and then?

Got IA letter with interview in LA

Hi Gurus
here are my timelines.
Applied Nov 17th 2003
File No : Dec 18th 2003
IA : July 27th 2004(I got info on this day , so IA might have been done
few days earlier itself).

But the thing is , i was scehduled for LA interview.
CIC told that they inform Interview date later.(Do not know when??)
My lawyer is saying , it might take 2,3 months time.

I also got medicals, FBI clearance requests with my IA letter.
But my laywer suggested , that we can do them , once we get
interview date.

Gurus , can anybody share LA interview experiences and
how much time we have to wait after file is transferred from
Buffalo to Los Angels.

Hello gurus
I got Interview letter to attend in LA .
They will inform abt date again.

I just wanted to share some mistake happened in my application.Can anybody comment/suggest/help me.

In my employement history in from Jan 2001 to May 2003 , i worked with one employer "X" on H1 visa.
As u know we can work for multiple H1 employers , so i worked for "Y" in 2001 , for 6 months::: and in 2002 year, i worked for "Z" for 6 months.
These "Y" and "Z" s are not clients. I got paystubs from them , so i had W2s from them.

But when i asked experience letter from company "X" , they gave from jan 2001 till May 2003, as i worked for them all the time , but with small gaps in between due to my works at companies "Y" and "Z".

So i metioned only about "X" to CIC , and I did not mention anything about "Y" and "Z" in my application.I thought company "X" gave exp letter from Jan 2001 till May 2003.So it will be sufficient.
It is true also , because in 2003 , from Jan 2003 to May 2003 i was with company "X" only.Ofcourse i switched to "A" after May 2003. And everything is fine from May 2003.

So i did not give any info about compaies "Y" and "Z" for years 2001 and 2002.
From 2003 Jan onwards , i gave very accurate info wrt everything.

If they see my W2s , they will come to know that i worked for "Y" and "Z" also , at interview time.
Will it create any problem for my interview.
ANy sugegstions/comments/help required.

Finally, received a letter from LA. Thank God that the Interview is waived. They have asked me to send in the FBI finger prints again with ROLF fee in 90 days. After that they will ask us to do the medicals. Thought I should share the news with the group.

Hi every one if you got interview waver that is a very good news but for people who required to sit for an interview can you share your thoughts and if you already have done an interview can you post your experience? or if you have seen some post in any forum regarding interview experience can you guys post it to this forum so that all of us who are require to attend for an interview can use the post. Got letter from LA saying I need to attended Interview. Does any one have a experice about L.A and can some one tell me what is the best way to go to L.A from Houston and places etc. :rolleyes:
 
My interview was last monday Sept 20th at LA


it went smoothly, it took 30 min
at the end they took my passport and ask to pay the right of Permenant fees
and they will send the passport with visa styamp by mail

I just had one question about your interview. At some stage they must have asked you why do you want to migrate to Canada. I would like to know how you answered that. I understand that all of us have our own individual reasons, but let's face the truth, most of us are doing this because things are not working our way in the United States (Labor Cert delays etc).

I am just wondering if it is better to be honest and tell the actual reason. If so, would that not sound selfish that we chose Canada as our backup?

If you could share your experience on that question, it would be really appreciated... :)

actually I showed them my I-485 recipt notice as prove I am staying legal at US.

the officer told me why you want to go to canada since you have stable work and applied for US green card. I told him because the work here is not guranty and the green card will take years to get it. and I am enterested to go to canada. and I applied to US green card as backup in case I got canadian visa rejected.

he aggreed and said you are right no body knows what in future


I prefere to tell them the truth.

Applied from US under skilled worker in Dec 2001. Rolf paid
Got file # in jan 2002
got medicals in may 2003, so now the medicals have expired.
interview required in LA
no news after that.

last friday I have received that the file has been transferred to LA.

My husband is going for his H4 visa in delhi, if he is refused this time again, I have planned to go back for good, although my H1 is valid till 2006.

If my interview comes lets say in jan 2005 in LA, I will be in India at that time. I will try to get the US visa just for the interview, if I do not get it, what should I do then?

I know the file cannot be transferred anymore. Can the interview date be postponed somehow, can the interview be transferred to India in that case?

any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.

It is mention clearly in the interview notice that appointment date will not be change and file can't be transfer and it is your responsibility to get a USA visa and attend the interview.

if you failed to attend then thier decission will be fruse your case.
 
FBI police clearance

just to let you know just got our FBI clearance... we will be submitting again our complete documents for final assessment. hopefully no interview required in our case.

hopefully we will get a response as soon as possible, within the next 3-5 months...

It menas they want to check the work exp letters.
Actually i do not have work exp letters for one company A and
i have only xerox copy for company B.

But i do have their original offer letters/original pay stubs for the duration i worked for company A and B.

Will it be ok to prove about my employement?
Or do i have to take from collegaues in those companies.
As i do not have connections with those companies A and B .


Can somebody share your interview expericnes for Canada immigration.

We had sent the FBI finger prints, police clearence from India for both of us, while I was here in the US and my husband was in India. Translated, as it was in hindi. Sent Rolf in the beginning with the application.

Now I have received the interview call, it seems to be a generic letter that says that FBI, and PCC is required. My question is we had already submitted them in 2002, do we need to get them again?

Should the funds be shown at that time, if yes what is the approximate amount, that anybody has shown.

Yes they are going to check your refernce letters. If possible you can get a letter from your co-workers and you also need to send them your company A updated phone numbers and address.
