    simple question- timing of appl.

It's the "Resident since" date on your greencard which may or may not be the same as the date on your passport. The "Naturalization Guide" clearly spells this out...

    N-400 Charlotte/NC Timeline

Thanks Jerry. What does your "Last updated" field show up like? Both IP_Everywhere's and mine shows 11/1/2004... Also, the new processing times for Charlotte, NC have been posted on the INS website. Apparently, Charlotte, NC jumped by two months! The last date was July 30, 2003 - it's now...

Is your 140 RD 3/29/03 or 3/29/04? In the title of your message you mention it as 3/29/04 but in your message you mention it as 3/29/03. Thanks.

    exp letter ???? Urgent

I *do not* agree with nitt_nscwaiter's advice. You would be commiting a crime by forging the document and if at all INS finds out, you could be permanently deported from the US. What's the reason your employer is refusing to give you the experience letter?

    EAD renewal

Hi all, What documents do you need to submit along with your EAD renewal application? Is it only the application or do you need to submit paystubs/ tax returns or other documents as well? Thanks!

Hi, Just wondering - has anybody tried to have their citizenship processing expedited by writing or calling in to their Regional Service Center or Local/District office? I'd be very interested in learning if that worked... Thanks!

    Urgent - Please Help!

Hi! Sorry to hear of your job loss. I'm assuming you filed your 140 in NSC (since I found your message in the NSC thread). If that's the case, NSC is supposedly working on 140 cases received on Aug. 2003 or later. So have you contacted INS and asked them about why your case hasn't been...

    Changing address?!

That is really wierd - that you have to have your employer call to have your address changed, I mean! The 485 petition is something that the individual files himself and the involvement of the company is not needed (as is for the 140). So, why is the employer needed to change your address on the...

Waiting for Citizenship Interview at Charlotte, NC Office

More... Hi Wiseman367 - congratulations! A few questions: 1. Could you please post the date on which you received your interview letter? 2. Also, can you please post your interview date? 3. Did you schedule any appointments with the Charlotte office to go and talk to an immigration...

Atlanta,GA - waiting for an Interview (10+ months)

Get an appointment with the local office Hi, I would suggest you schedule an InfoPass appointment with your local office to talk to an immigration officer. That might help in one of two ways (or possibly both): 1. It may actually trigger a send-out of your interview letter. 2. At the...

Waiting for Citizenship Interview at Charlotte, NC Office

No updates yet. IP_everywhere & Jerry, No updates on my case yet. I still haven't received an interview notice. The online message is the same as before: "It's taking us between 750 and 999 days to process this kind of case..." I did however call the FBI and they confirmed that my...

AC21: Switched to my own company.

Hi. Hi, You should be fine - you're allowed to work for your own company. However, there are enough immigration officers/agents that are not very knowledgeable, especially when it comes to out-of-the-ordinary cases like yours. Even though legally you're fine, I would take a lawyer along...
