I sent my 3rd EAD renewal to
MSC last week. I think EAD renewal should be filed at the center where the I-485 case is pending.
The cases that have been transferred to MSC, based on the postings, are either EB1 or NIW, although there are some EB3 cases also.
I suspect that MSC has not...
Mine was transferred in Oct. 2003 to MSC
No news so far. Could anyone confirm that EAD should be alpplied at MSC, instead of VSC? Thanks.

Are you sure it is Chicago local office?
Or Missouri Service Center (MSC), which has a PO Box in Chicago?
My case was trasferred to MSC in October. The phone message, however, says that it was transferred to an office in Chicago, IL., where MSC's mail box is.
Jigesh, I am not exactly in your category,
but I have been thinking about exactly the same question, though.
Contents of a RFE or possible questions in an interview may vary. But one thing that will be critical is, well, keep the contacts that provided you with the reference letters for NIW...
feb6361, i will do my best...
On another note, I talked to my local Congresswoman's Office (New York City) yesterday. The person in charge of I-485 cases (yes, there is a person working on just I-485 cases at her office) said that "MSC was better equipped to process I-485 cases, not just...
My case was transferred to MSC recently,
so was lgwait's and another case. You can type "Missouri Service Center" in the search box and see those threads.
Just like you, I do not know whether this is good or bad news. Is there a phone number for MSC so we can call?
Just called 18003755283, even more questions after the call.
1. RD may remain the same, but the receipt date at MSC is what counts;
2. The released I-485 processing time is for LIFE cases;
3. Transferred cases fall under the category of "All Others," which currently shows a processing time...
lgwait, I think it is the same as yours,
some P.O. Box in Chicago, IL. I do not have the transfer notice with me now, but I did get it last week (transferred on 10/16, received the notice on 10/24). I can confirm later.
Jigesh, did you mean that
transferred I485 cases might not have the same processing time as those directly recieved at MSC? i.e., the published processing times only apply to directly received cases, while transferred cases are a separate category whose processing time may not be published. Thx.
The newly released processing time at Missouri Service Center
shows June 2nd, 2003 for I-485. The questions is whether all transferred I-485 cases get approved or reviewed RIGHT AWAY, because RDs of these transferred cases are in 2001 or 2002?
Thx.
Argument 1:
RD is the transfer date or a few days later when the new center/office receives the transferred case, well, because that is the receipt date at the new center;
Argument 2:
RD is still the same RD when I-485 was filed at the old center before transfer.
Which one do you think...
If transferring to MSC is due to the local
backlog, it is a good thing! But I am still a lille confused because if the local office is swamped with scheduling and conducting interviews, how could MSC make it faster (all interviews still need to be conducted locally)?
Any update on your friend's transfer case?
Did your friend contact his/her attorney? What is the word? Was the case transferred by mistake?
Thanks for sharing.
lgwait, a quick question.
Is the wording in your transfer notice the same as your on-line message? I am waiting for my transfer notice and curious about what might be in it.
Thanks.
sorry that you are still waiting for the RFE.
Hopefully you will get it soon.
I wonder what more info that BCIS is requesting. After all, it is an EB1-EA case.
My case was transferred to Missouri Service Center, which to me is like starting all over again after a long wait. So I...
