Jungli Sher might have a point It might be the case that if you ever had F-1 status in the US, you will be more closely scrutinized as per the new policy. I hope this is disproven by a sudden burst of approvals shortly.

Still waiting r/d = november; n/d = december 00. I called IIO a couple of days ago and was told that my app was pending. When asked what it means, she curtly told me that she was unable to give me any more info.

Was told application is pending and there is no decision yet. I guess there isn\'t much use talking to an IIO unless your 485 is due over 540 days.
