Another great thing about the US is that it has the best justice system money can buy. The answer to those question is greatly affected on how much money you got that you can throw at fixing the problem.

If you (both of you) truly want to sound educated, I recommend using the "Spelling and Grammar" feature under Tools in MS Word, or having a couple people proof-read your letters. First poster(and fellow Canuck), you might as well start the letter with "Dude," it isn't much worse than a stiff...
