I believe it should matter, since GC is for a future position, and the company should be able to pay you in future. for which they have to be financially ok..

Yes, December has started, since one of my friends got RFE last week. He has already sent his reply. The RFE was for the usual stuff, paystubs, employment letter, tax returns etc..no big deal..
