Yes, it is the regular Green Card. Remember we all submited two photos, at least I did, when we applied I-485 which is suppose to be used for the card.
A friend of mine got approved recently. He got notice letter for stamping as well as his wife. However, his kids got Green Card, yes, the physical card, directly by mail at the same time! His kids doesn't need to do stamping at all! What a surprise!
If you have both original I-94 and the I-94 attached with your H1 approval, why don't you just return all of them. I got my stamp a few months ago, and returned these two.
It took a week for me to get the approval notice. I got it two months ago. You can stop by the INS local office for stamping any time after you get the notice because there is no appointment data in the notice letter. I don't think the driver license is necessary for 485 stamping. I was not asked.
At the moment you started to use EAD, your H-1 is automatically canceled. You are not H-1 holder any more. Your status is I-485 pending now. You better update your company. You also have to use AP for travelling.
