Dear Friends,

Glad to inform you all that me and my wife got approved today. Below are my details:

I-485 RD/ND FEB 02
RFE 03/29/04
RFE RECVD 04/23/04 ( Last Update date 04/23.04/24,04/28,05/14)
Approval Date 05/13

Hope you all get the approval soon and get out of this torture soon. I can only say not to loose hope guys. I used to always think that all the bad lucks are with me but thats not true instead I think now that GOD tests/examines us all by putting us thru difficult situation to find out whether we really love him or not ;) .

Enough of lecture. Bottomline is GOD is Great and he is watching you. He put you in to this and HE IS THE ONE WHO WILL REMOVE YOU FROM THIS DITCH. :)

Now few questions:

1) How long will it take for me to receive the approval notice?

2) I know I have to take drivers license for stamping, but I dont have the same address as in my 485 although DMV has my current addres( just not on the card). So will it really matter? can I do something about it?

3) Can I go for stamping as soon as I receive the notice with the courtesy copy?( need to travel on business trip)

4) Approx. how long will take for my Plastic card?( I might have to move soon)

Please let me know for any questions.

It took a week for me to get the approval notice. I got it two months ago. You can stop by the INS local office for stamping any time after you get the notice because there is no appointment data in the notice letter. I don't think the driver license is necessary for 485 stamping. I was not asked.
 
Thanx hqusa,blinkingstar and fireball for your wishes and answers. I am going to go to San Francisco for stamping. Anybody in NSC bracket happened to go SFO for stamping, pls post your experience.

I will also ask this question in the CSC Center.
