My wife's info
Here is my wife's info:
June 26th, 2008 --- I-130, I-485, I-131 and I-765 sent to Chicago lockbox
July 2nd --- Notice date for all 4 cases
July 15 --- FP notice received
July 29 -- FP
July 30 -- LUD shown on line
Nothing ever since.
My wife is the beneficiary of family based AOS application. We filed I-130, I-485, I-765 at the beginning of July 2008.
With AOS pending status, would she be able to take courses in any university without applying for new F-1?
Currently she is in AOS pending stage, but her non-immigration...
It's done after more than 19 months
My N-400 process was completed yesterday of June 2nd, 2008. Here is my info:
Service center: NSC/Detroit
N-400 receipt date: October 25, 2006
First Finger printing date: Nov 14, 2006
USCIS service request date: July 2007

I haven't received oath letter since May 1st interview
N-400 received date: October, 2006
NSC - Detroit
First FP: November 2006
Second FP: March 2008
Interview: May 1 2008
Oath letter: ???
It worked for me
I got my second FP notice; two weeks later, received IL. My case has been pending for over 17 months. Looks like it's a good sign for you.
Thanks
Thanks, waitingforins2.
I haven't written to anybody yet, though I was considering writing to my senator.
That my background check was accelarated could have resulted from the recent initiative to clear the name check backlog just announced.
I think most of the long pending name...
Just received interview letter today
I just received interview letter today, after more than 17 months of trapped in the background check. The interview is scheduled for May.
My history:
N-400 NSC receipt date: Oct 25, 2006
First Finger Printing: Nov, 2006
Called USCIS customer service...
Stuck in name check for 17 months
Here is mine:
N-400
Priority date: Oct 25 06
First Finger Printing: Nov 14 2006
Contact USCIS customer service back in July 2007, get reply letter saying "background investigation still open"
Second Finger Printing: March 11 2008
FOIPA...
Just got my second finger printing notice after nearly 17 months
My priority date for N-400 is Oct 25, 2006. I just received second finger printing notice saying the record had expired. My case has been pending in background check.
How long can be defined as "Unreasonably long" for filing...
Similar situation
Hi, qqaisi,
I've got a similar situation:
N-400 was received by NSC on 10/25/2006
Finger printing was completed on 11/14/2006
Nothing ever since.
Filed FOIPA and got reply back "No record" on main files search.
Probably the WOM is the only solution after waiting...
It seems that the only way is to file WOM for N-400
It seems no way out for N-400 folks but wait and file WOM after name check pending for more than 2 years.
N-400 Receipt date: 10/25/2006
Finger printing completed on 11/14/2006
Same boat
My N-400 (NSC) has been pending for more than 15 months probably because of name check.
Receipt date: 10/25/2006
Finger print completion date: 11/14/2006 returned to USCIS on the same day
Nothing ever since.
I called USCIS customer service once last August, got a letter 3 weeks...
Me the same
My N-400 priority date is October of 06, there is nothing ever since except completing the finger print in last Nov.
I agree with Texan93, live the life as usual. When the pending time is accumulated to 2.5 years, file a WOM.
Name check issue
I think there are only two ways to resolve the name issue:
(1) File WOM or 144X(b)
(2) Wait until the policy changes
After you eventually become citizen, just vote the related persons who designed this policy out of the office.
I'm sure there would be computer...
I got the same letter after putting a service request
I got the same letter saying "Your application has been delayed; the investigation into your background remains open, ...contact us after 6 months..."
This was after I put a service request cause my case was more than 30 days outside...
Just got reply from NSC regarding to a service request:
The processing of this case has been delayed; ... the investigation into your background remains open.
My fingerprint was completed back in Nov 06. Would this be the infamous name check or IBIS check? Thanks.
My info:
N-400 filed...
Service request is available after 30 days outside normal processing date
That's correct.
Last month the customer representative wouldn't open a service request cause my application had not been pending 30 days outside normal processing date.
Yesterday, my case exceeded the normal date...
My info
Sorry to have forgotten appending my info:
NSC
P.R. EB2 since 01/2002
N-400 priority date: 10/25/2006
FingerPrintNoticeDate: 11/05/2006
FingerPrintAppointmentDate: 11/14/2006
ServiceRequestOpenedDate: 07/18/2007
Never had any trouble with law.
Common last name.
Since my priority date for N-400 has been almost 2 months outside their published processing time(Dec, 12, 2006), I called customer service and opened a service request on my case and was told to expect reply within the next 45 days.
What effect/info does a service request have/provide on a...
