I think what timaeuti said is right. And I don't believe all 2nd FP notices are automatically generated. There are so many people with ND 2001 haven't received 2nd FP notice yet. There is no logical reasoning for BCIS or BCIS doesn't want you to understand its process. and this has been...

Sam99, you probably don't need 2nd FP at all since your case was touched and issued RFE before the 1st expired. But i am not 100% sure, BCIS has its own logic at which i am always confused.

Peter, My EAD will expire on 01/01/04. But I have lost confidence on BCIS to approve my 485 within 3 months and the company urges me to apply EAD early.

i am in same boat. I am applying the 3rd EAD and hope BCIS would work hard enough to approve me before my applying for the 4th one.
