indigo, Olny called them once IIO told me to wait for couple of weeks. I am going to wait for a month. If I dont get by then, I will ask my lawyer to call INS.

I am also in the same boat My 485 was filed on June 26th. Did not get the receipt. Did not encash the checks. Called IIO and she said my case is not in system. Asked me to wait 2 more weeks.

indigo, about refiling 485 My attorney told me that they had two similar cases before. They refiled the 485 . INS entered both 485 and there were two cases pending for same person. They had tough time in convincing INS about this and to avoid rejection. It is better to do a ststus check...
