Well handled
Jaxen -- I think that your plagiarist criticism was 100% on the mark. Better wording may have exacted the same response, but then at least it would not have given the plagiarist ammo to use against you. From the way you finished off the interchange, it appears that you learned the...
Also From MI
My case and my wife's wer also sent to the MO center. I made a few calls to the help line and after speaking to a number of people, I concluded that they knew nothing. My Lawyer went to the Detroit local office to find out what the story was. BCIS Detroit said that this was a...
No Problem
I consulted my lawyer who has never been wrong so far and he stated the following:
If you are working for your H1B employer, then you should have no problem working in another country. As a matter of fact, the BCIS will probably never find out about and even if they do, it is still...
This is the first concrete sign that I have seen that processing on 2002 cases is taking place. What do you all think?

AHA - Thanks Whatshappening
It appears that the BCIS would come across a lot more intelligent if they just COMMUNICATED better. It looks like we were also singled out for a security check.
Thanks again.
Our cases also transferred to National Records Center
I contacted the BCIS and they were clueless on both occasions. My lawyer eventually contacted them and according to them it is now being transferred BACK to NSC. I think they eventually figured out that the National Records Center doesn't...
Lawyer is going to try and find out
My lawyer is going to the local offices this coming Thursday to find out what is going on with my application - why has it been transferred to MO and what exactly does MO do?
I will post an update here as soon as I have any info.
And another thing...
Whatever you do, DONT QUIT BEFORE THEY LAY YOU OFF. If you quit and work for the competition, they can screw you because then you are violating your non-compete clause.
I am pretty sure you are free
If you company lays you off, they automatically free you of ALL obligations of your employment contract. It is not reasonable that they can free themselves of their obligation to pay you and expect you to still be obligated not to work for the competition. If that...
Watch out
I submitted my 485 to NSC but they transferred it to MO national records center (M NRC). The problem is that Missouri SC only process Family-Based petitions and not employment based petitions. The MSC is not to be confused with the M NRC - the M NRC stores records and don't actually...
No Problem
At first I felt bad. But then when I read that it was in 1999, I actually felt better than before I read your email. I blame the BCIS. I think they are messing up my head.:D
Transfers to MO
Spoke to an ill-informed IIO who told me that the NSC were running out of storage space so that's why they transferred my case. She said that the message "to speed up processing" was an error. I have BIG doubts regarding the veracity of any info I was given by this person. I...
I spoke to an IIO at the NSC yesterday, trying to figure out why my case was transferred to MO center since the MO center only processes FAMILY-BASED applications. Mine is employment based. So I asked her why and not surprisingly, at first she didn't have a clue. She put me on hold and did some...
It seems that there is a big change on the horizon for 485 applications. The MO office will become the de facto processing center for all application country-wide - no more service centers. For more details, click on this link:

Strategy
My plan is to shut up and hope for the best. It sounds to me like MO is going to process the case since NSC is to backlogged. I assume they will either approve it or send it back to NSC once approved. I don't think it is a mistake. I think that MO has not had enough time to enter it...
Spoke to officer
I phoned to get the status of my MO transfer case and the phone system says that my case is not in the system. So I got hold of a case worker who was clueless. It seems that MO does process cases, however. I will try and get hold of them again and see if anyone with some IQ is...
Spoke to officer
I was trying to get a status update and accidentally got through to an officer who was borderline clueless. The only piece of useful information was that MO center does, in fact, process applications and that it is faster than NSC.
