Here's the key
I wish, I was that lucky to get that re-opened in 2 weeks and had any other magical source than what is available generally to you and anyone else. Actually it was probably more like 2 months or more so that this conundrum continued. Once we learnt that we had our case closed...
Persistence !
Clzeus10/Catch_GC -
You're probably barking at the wrong tree. Its election year and no politician or public official would want to be messing with Immigration agenda on their hands. Did you not see that they left the illegal/legal immigration reform aside and passed the...
Hi MVinays,
yeah - its that time now. Shit has hit the fan. People have huddled in rooms to figure out this mess now.
245(i) caused a lot of issues in most populous states (NY/NJ/MD/VA/CA/ etc) and we came to this situation now. Fast approvals in DBEC and continued indecision in PBEC further...
Hi SM/PBECisKillingME,
I agree with you guys. No doubt about it, there are issues around PBEC and some pretty hot and thorny. I hate it too. For example, my case got closed, then reopened, then approved, then I had to fight for my certified papers too. I had to fight it out along each step of...
Hi MDWatch -
I would have to agree with your analysis too. I think PBEC is putting every means to look at the larger problem, as a whole. Slice'n'Dice it, whichever way and get the black mole off their back - seems to be what I'm reading around here. The recent issual of this `RIR Conversion`...
PBEC's Gained Momentum
Guys,
Increasingly I'm getting convinced that PBEC is now trying harder to clear up the backlog as promised - it is evident in their actions now.
1) For example, my labor (PD, 9Sept'03) was cleared on (PD, 9Sept'06) and now PBEC is approving Jan/Feb'04. That is a...
Received Certified Documents !
Guys,
I'm happy to report that I got the news from my attorney yesterday that their office had received the certified documents. Hopefully, this completes my full circle for Labor Certification.
As some of you may recall, I had some trouble in getting...
Same Here - Still waiting for certified papers ...
oh well ... I'm also waiting for quite sometime now. I have changed addresses and communicated that to them # of times. Unfortunately, the address never changed on their system and now we are into another struggle for getting the certified...
Congratulations !
My best wishes for further success in this long journey ... I hope this week turns out to the starting point for 2001/2002 approvals. From what I can read, some PBEC staff is working over the weekend to get these cases off-loaded. Remember, DBEC staff was doing the same at...
My attorney's take on this ...
My spoke with my attorney at length about this. Unfortunately, I was advised that waiting is the best option on this. He said, if we file 140 without labor cert (and USCIS verified it with DOL) - the process takes a long time that way. Basically, you think that...
Received Final Determination Letter, NO ETA-750A/B YET
Folks,
Well turns out that my employer received "Final Determination" letter stating the good news that my labor is certified. Letter is dated 09/11/06 and this date corresponds when I saw the case as "Certified" online. Also, Certifying...

Honestly, to tell the truth - I really have no template. You guys seem to think there is some magic in words used by someone else. There's no magic wand. Frankly if everyone uses the template used by someone else, all it does is just dilutes the message. Reader will...
Not to forget .. if they recapture the unused visas from previous years and apply that to retrogressed visa quota; we will have to make another "Gone in 60 seconds" movie related to immigration retrogression.
Some Suggesstions ...
Jack_Xie,
Here are some pointers. Write it to -
1) Elaine Chao
2) Barbara Shelly - the new PBEC director, after Stefanko was sent to dump.
3) DOL address of Washington, DC.
4) Speaking of Senators or any other non-DOL public person in between - I don't think you...
CrabCake,
No no ... having a "closed" case is really not a good thing. Its almost like a `red flag` before they send your papers to a shredder.
I sincerely sympathize with folks that are awaiting patiently from 2001 and 2002. But leaving the emotions aside, and if you put yourself in their...
I was wondering about that too ... Does anyone have the approximate # for how many visas they allot for GC (for India) in a calendar year. I just want to see how the labor approvals from BEC's are going to impact the visa movement for 485's. Thanks.
Take some action
Guys -
I would say take some proactive action on these closed cases. There are many cases that PBEC had messed up and closed. I had my case that was closed, I got it re-opened and now is certified fortunately (although I have not received the black and white letter in mail...
GChelp123,
I like what you have reported here. Till this time, it seemed like PBEC was processing June/July'03 cases. Since I also have a Sept'03 PD (Sept11'03 to be specific) - this confirms me that PBEC finally moved to Sept'03 cases. I hope there are other people who will report "Certified"...
My Case Also Shows "Certified" Status Today
Folks,
Not sure if I should rejoice .... my case also shows a "Certified" status today. It was showing a "In-Process" Status yesterday !
I'm too puzzlleedd ??
