Who want to be part of action team

Can we make it 9:00 pm EST on both days? 2:00 pm Pacific is right in the middle of the day and difficult to manage.

I will be on the conference call this weekend.

dsatish,

Don't you think it is a little too soon to reach the conclusion that we are "falling apart, lacking any co-ordinated responses and lacking in enthusism with regard to our communication with Rajiv". The core team had its first conference call just 4 days ago. :) But yes I agree that we need to move forward and move faster on the implementation of sub-committees, in order to improve communication levels, not just with Rajiv but the entire immigrationportal.com community.

See you all 9pm (EST), 8pm (CST), 6pm (PST). We can talk about changing the timings for Saturday meetings.

It helps every one if they take 15 minutes to think about what to discuss in the meeting. Please come out with your own suggestions regarding what we have to do about law suit and fund collection.

dsatish gets emotional, I think. We need to find the best District courts..

Cinta,
Attached is my posting on main thread.

Guys,

This is December. Many of us are on vacation, planning travels, busy with family and kids etc. Don’t get depressed for the lack of speed. Things will pick up soon.

Yup. I am fully aware of this

Remember, I have taken into account rulings from various courts. And I have access to resources that you do not. Right now, the BEST court in my humble opinion is Northern District of Illionis. But DC is very convenient and may turn out to be just as good. Why AILF wanted a transfer of venue, I can ask Nadine. But, wait until I have a draft ready. Let me have your input. Be assured I am reading all the threads. But I will respond only if necessary. Otherwise, I will never be able to get the job done. So keep your comments coming. They always help set up new lines of thinking.

By the way, Nadine's complaint made two excellent points, which I am shamelessly stealing for us. :D

Thanks, Rajiv. I understand that getting the work done is more important.

The importance of the court in which the case is filed was a completely new idea for me. Had no clue as to how important this choice could be, but retrospectively, I can understand the whole political structure as to how judges are nominated/elected/selected by various biased parties, which causes their "fair" judgement to be a wee bit biased, and hence the importance of selecting the right court.

This bit has been in an interesting read, well you live and learn! :)

And Rajiv's point about not responding to every post is extremely valid. If he tries to weigh in on everything discussed on this forum, that would be all he would be doing! :)

Cinta,
Can you make it to today's conference call at 9pm EST ? If so, please respond here so that edison can send the conference call details to you. You have spent more time than any of us on law suit issues. That's why i feel that your presence will be helpful for today's meeting. Once we meet tonight, we can apprise Rajiv about our discussion and we can arrange a conference call with Rajiv in the next 2 or 3 days.

well?

dsatish,
thanks for the invitation. Unfortunately, my wife works in the mall until late and I drive a lot to give her rides. I will make it some other time.
Some issues that you can discuss:
1: The nature of the suit. EB based only or Family included? any other category? Discuss this, as we the EB group are unique wrt the fact that we have been here and working...maybe some family based people are here also, I am not sure. But Backlogs are in all visa categories also. So let us square on this one.
2: The different Courts. trust Rajiv, but make a study of our own. There is a lot of "politics" with these Federal courts, the judges and who appointed them, I guess for LIFE... This is partly political issue as the CUrrent administration is failing us with security checks, no people, no money, etc. Oh, I forgot about the Citizenship backlogs. Inclused or not? These got money and more resources and support..

Talking with Rajiv

Team,
Rajiv said that we can talk to him on any week-day between 12 - 7pm. When shall we talk to him ? It should be a 30 to 60 minute talk. We can probably talk from our mobile phones from work (goto a private area and talk). Shall we talk today evening 5pm / 6pm EST or shall we do it on Monday ? Please let me know.

dsatish

Do we need to talk to Rajiv now? He probabily has enough on his plate right now. If we have reached some important decisions or if we have urgent matters to communicate to him one of us (Edison, you, or any other member) can send him an e-mail. I am sorry I could not attend last night's conference call. I may to miss today's too.

Yes. In yesterday's meeting, we have decided to talk to Rajiv. This is long due and Rajiv has expressed his willingness many times to talk to us. An half an hour talk is worth 100 posts of miscommunication here.

Pity not many people made it to yesterday's conference call, I guess it was at a little short notice. The people who attended were:
  1. Edison
  2. dsatish
  3. 140_takes_4ever[/list=1]
We spoke mainly about how to take things forward on this forum, with regards to the legal case/collecting funds/organizing sub-committees to split the work between people.

I guess talking to Rajiv is probably at this time, at the top of our agenda. We will need his input/guidance on the position of things so far, and his expectations from us.

There is no point in pushing things till Monday, specially if Rajiv is free today. We should probably go ahead and have a conference call this evening at 5:00 pm EST.

    dsatish,

Is this conversation with Rajiv going to be a conference call? (If so could you forward him our Conference call number and access code and see if he will be free at 5:00 pm EST), or a one on one between the two of you? In which can we (core team) have a conference call at 6:00 pm EST to go through matters?

In my earlier post I have mentioned about conference call, not a one on one call. It will be better if we talk to him as a team. Let us wait for his response.
