Good News!!! For those who already applied or will apply for work permit, USCIS has reduced the processing times for work permit. This change effected from Nov 2023 and Now the new work permit will be issued within 3 months. The processing time may vary upon case to case.

Very hard to get and it’s risky as what if you got denial while you’re overseas? Then your AP is useless and America is closed page for you
It's like this Newark office is the slowest. It's waiting for a decision from Newark. I already have Grey hairs from the stress of this process . Just praying that after all these years of waiting, I should get a positive decision. Almost 9years in this race ...

today someone i know got referral from Arlington office after been waiting for 6 years to get interview and he got the denial letter today!! that's so sad i really feel bad for anyone who waits for years to get interviewed then boom you're in the deportation process! hopefully they interview people as soon as possible so if their asylum got denied then they can leave without feeling that they have wasted too many years of their lives.

what does "got referral from Arlington office" mean? mean they filed a lawsuit for him?
Oh my God.. it’s soooo sad. It’s a heart wrenching news. I think he should quit because if he continues with next step, it will ruin almost his 4 to 5 years more. But as we don’t know about his situation but it will be a total wastage of life now.

no it means he got denied at the asylum interview and now he is transferred to the court to start his deportation process and even he got a chance but it ain't easy at all!

i agree with you and that's what i told him!! he will try to go to Canada or Australia and save his time instead of wasting 4-5 more years here at the court and at the end still no guarantee that the situation will change at the court.
