Waiting Asylum decision

Making you wait 2 to 3 yrs for decision then refer to court would be the worst form of torture. I have been waiting 2yrs 2 months.

Don't worry about it too much it could be related to their background check been up to date or easier to acquire, as you know each case is different.

I hope everyone is fine.
I applied for renewal of my EAD back in July last year.
A couple of days ago (after 200 days) the status changed to “ Case is being actively reviewed by USCIS” .
Does anyone know what is going on?

Mine is stuck at reviewed for 221 days now.

Usually when they change the status from pick up to mail, probably it’s a referral. Not approval.

Нov2017 - i589
Jul2022 - Interview (additional documents has been requested, and we provided them in a few days)

today - waiting for a decision. We ask for a congressman's help, sent an inquiry, e-request and still got nothing..
What else could we do and does it worth to sue the gov? Thank you!

Hi mine also has changed to “Case is being actively reviewed by USCIS” in March 2023 and I applied to renew EAD in January 2022 and nothing yet.

i applied in January 2016 and interview in November 2020 and since that I send 5 request by congressman and 4 request myself and nothing happened each time get same replay.
 
this is what uscis replied today after an inquiry with the congressman, is this a standard reply?


An asylum application may require additional time to be adjudicated after an initial asylum interview for several reasons including awaiting background and security check results, and/or requiring a re-interview. Additionally, the need to reassign staff to high priority workloads, such as protection screenings for detained noncitizens, may also be a reason for delaying the adjudication. Please be assured that your constituent’s application has not been overlooked.

What office is this?
 
Does anyone know on which day the Houston Asylum Office do walk-ins ? I had my interview on August 15th 2023 but no update so far.. I am planning to drive there for a walk in (live in Dallas).
