Waiting Asylum decision

Most likely they are doing the background check but it has not good or bad sign at all a lot got approved after application is pending and a lot got denial too so it means nothing but your case is actively reviewed
When background is being checked, case status not changes into application pending because background is linked with decision, not with the application. If the application is pending, 90% cases receive negative decision, only 10% get approval, in that case when status again changes to decision is pending.

Sometimes, the status may change from "asylum decision pending" back to "asylum application pending" if there are delays or additional steps required in the decision-making process. This change could occur if, for example, the case is reopened for further review or if the asylum seeker needs to provide additional evidence or attend another interview.

Can you please share your references for such statements and numbers??!!! I have searched this forum and found almost all applicants who experienced the same status change got approved eventually!!!

Honestly most of the people in j this forum who got application is pending ended up getting approvals! You need to double check your info cause it doesn’t seems accurate this time.

As I said that 10% may get approval. I am not totally negating that the case will be denied. It vary case to case. But this is very obvious that when they reopen the application, definitely it’s something alarming. But if that goes well, then case is approved.

i agree as i honestly seen many got application is pending and got denied and i also see a lot got approved so he shouldn't be concerned as it really doesn't say a lot about what they gonna do with him and most likely he won't get a decision for the next 10-15 months!

Yes.. he has to undergo a long wait now. But unfortunately, if any red flag not get clearance, case can be referred to court soon.

I asked that you please share your references for such claims!!! especially for the percentages you are giving.
I am asking this not about negativity or whether my case will get approved or denied but it is all about the accuracy of information and honestly you’ve been spreading inaccurate information on this Forum. My question, have you worked as a lawyer? Have you worked as an AO? Based on what you’re giving such information??

I like that at least it shows your case is being a active, unlike some of us that it has been on decision pending, I wish you all the best, hopefully it is a good news amen

That was already shared in previous post!! anyway, case was filed Aug 2020 Chicago office, interviewed Aug 2022
You need to calm down , everyone here leans on each other and tries to help, all we do is give opinions, you dont have to accept or believe it, nobody gets paid for their time, stop with the exclamation marks and acting like anybody owes anyone their time, calm down please.

If you don't have time or don't have an accurate information to share you are respectively not obligated to respond!!

Absolutely you are right, many people seek asylum in the USA, and only a small percentage, perhaps 2% or less, use these forums. We can't assume anyone's case status based on forum discussions. Each person's situation is unique, facing different asylum officers. Hearing about someone with a similar timeline getting approval can offer hope and that’s why I use these forums , but only the officers working on your case know its current status. Instead of assuming negatively about someone's case, it's better to provide encouragement and support. If that's not your policy, it's okay to stay silent. I've personally experienced people saying I wouldn't get approved easily, but I did. Now, they say I won't get my green card soon. Trust in God, work hard, believe in yourself. Even if your case goes to immigration court, it's not the end , there are still chances to win.

Live and let live!

Ze33 we have been on this street together for over 5 years, we all lean and encourage ourselves, nobody has a monopoly of info or information, however as adults , just take it on the chin and stop acting like anyone is responsible for uscis and their mess, those who contribute do it out of nothing but a genuine desire to help , period.

I just want to suggest that instead of thinking negatively about someone's situation, it's better to share a few positive words. I've been on this forum since 2018, and I've noticed people here are often feeling desperate and looking for hope (including you and me) . It doesn't feel right to take away that hope.
