you guys should sue them if 1 year passes and no decision is made yet but unfortunately some immigrants are scary as hell!!! suing the USCIS has no negative effect on your case at all.

i sued them for the delay of my green card not for asylum decision i got my decision 20 days after the interview but they delayed my GC for more than 13 months so i sued them and got my green card in hand 30 days later.
wow this is super fast.
I am patiently waiting just 1 year after my interview. No more than that, I will definitely sue them if I haven’t received a decision.

Hello Guys, my family and I have been waiting for asylum decision for about 3 years, our interview was on april 2021, interview was in Houston, TX. Anyone here having similar experience to us, if so, what have you done about it ?.
my friend, don’t ask anybody about their experiences, this is too much to wait for 3 years. Go ahead and file mandamus law suit, otherwise, get ready for next 3 years more. Situation is not favorable.

If you are not able to afford a mandamus law suit please try to submit an immigration petition with a congressman because it’s free.

How long your second interview lasted ?
Was it with same officer ?
I received a phone call from the same officer that she needed to clarify some questions, so it was about 1/2 hour . She only had 3 questions that she was not clear about after that I received my approval in April 7 months after the interview

So they contacted you via phone to notify that you need a second interview? was there any other mean they used to inform you? my concern that I usually don't pick up phone calls!! Did you have a lawyer? Did they contacted your lawyer as well?

if you have an attorney, they will contact your attorney via phone or email . I have a lawyer ,she contacted my lawyer via phone and the email .
It means that something is critical they started working on it. Mostly it’s not a good sign, but never knows other than that. But yes, based on my knowledge, its something that may have a red flag

Most likely they are doing the background check but it has not good or bad sign at all a lot got approved after application is pending and a lot got denial too so it means nothing but your case is actively reviewed

Good luck! The asylum journey is so exhausting and takes forever hopefully you get a decision soon
